Today marks the global release of Kelly Rowland’s eagerly anticipated ‘Here I Am’ album.

Serving as the songbird’s third studio effort, the record is preceded by Urban smash ‘Motivation’ and is being described by many as the 30 year old’s breakthrough LP. A view we wholly co-sign (click here to read our review).

Former The Inc. crooner Lloyd may not be the king of charts with his most recent, critically acclaimed album ‘King of Hearts’, but he has to be respected for his promo grind. In a recent sit-down, the ‘Lay It Down’ singer reflected on the success of his gold-certified ‘Street Love’ (calling it ‘one of the better R&B albums of the last decade) and how much of a departure it is from his current release.

As reported here, ‘1 Thing’ singer Ameriie has been generating quite the buzz for her upcoming ‘Cymatika Vol. 1’ album.  The album, which the singer revealed is expecting a spring 2012 release, will be preceded by the new summer single ‘Firestarter’.

While no official release date has been reported, the newlywed chatted it up with our friends at Rap-Up to provide details about the song, it’s parent album, and her desire to release an album every year.

R&B starlet Melanie Fiona has joined a growing number of stars who have paid tribute to late British soul singer Amy Winehouse:

‘Lay It On Me’ singer Kelly Rowland sat down for an extensive interview today with Billboard.com.  Rowland, whose latest studio effort ‘Here I Am’ is due in stores tomorrow (July 26th), answered fan-tweeted questions on topics ranging from plans for album promotion to the commercial response of ‘Miss Kelly’ and, of course, the ever-so-rumored Destiny’s Child reunion.  A great watch indeed!
