Some may say she was ‘Born This Way’ whilst others will take one look and decide that she’s just a ‘Government Hooker’.

Her latest album ‘4‘ has already gone onto become one of the highest selling LPs to be released this year.
Now, its second single ‘Best Thing I Never Had‘ is further helping the cause, as it is this weeks UK R&B #1.

Chris Brown has returned to his love of Hip Hop for his latest release, ‘Real Hip Hop #3‘, using the song as a medium to respond to media outlets he feels are unfairly targeting him.

Hint: She’s famed for her “out-there” outfits
Following a series of photos featuring R&B newcomer, Frank Ocean, in the studio with certified hitmakers like Beyonce and Pharrell, this candid with hip hop legend Jay-Z seems a welcomed addition to the collection. The shot is from a session for Jay-Z’s forthcoming solo album, which will feature a track with the singer/songwriter. Ocean, whose single, ‘Novacane’, is currently No. 19 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart, will also appear on Jay-Z and Kanye West’s upcoming ‘Watch The Thrown’ LP, due out August 2.
Though R&B bad boy Chris Brown may have drawn a record-breaking crowd with his recent ‘Today Show Summer Concert Series’ performances, don’t look for FOX News‘ name on that growing list of fans. In a scathing 8 minute segment, the popular, conservative news program slammed Brown for his image (see: past, sexual performances/lyrics) and involvement on the concert series – citing NBC as ‘rewarding bad behavior’.
The ‘She Ain’t You’ singer took to Twitter to offer his response. See what he had to say (and the video that prompted the response) after the jump:
Queen of Hip-Hop Soul Mary J. Blige is quite the busy woman. While just recently announcing the preparation of her 10th studio album My Life II: The Journey Continues (due fall 2011), news has surfaced the singer has been tapped to play alongside Tom Cruise and Alec Baldwin in a movie adaptation of the famed Broadway musical ‘Rock of Ages’ (due 2012).
See what else the ‘Someone To Love Me’ has in store for the big screen in 2012 after the jump:
2005 saw R&B crooner Ne-Yo burst onto the music scene – as an artist. Previously known as a songwriter (having co-penned Mario‘s ‘Let Me Love You’, which stayed at the top of the Billboard for 9 weeks), he released his first album, ‘In My Own Words’, to wide critical and commercial acclaim. As such, the LP’s final single, ‘Sexy Love’, will make the object of this week’s From The Vault.
A global summer hit, ‘Love’ established Ne-Yo as a prolific and viable act after the touchdown that was ‘So Sick’, his breakthrough single. Indeed, as history has proven with acts such as Lil Mama, Mims and the underrated Amerie; it seems to be quite the task to sustain as much as half the momentum after a smash a la ‘So Sick’.
On the song and its accompanying visual, Ne-Yo is addicted to his lady that he doesn’t care about anything that doesn’t revolve around the two of them.
Mr. Smith delivers, with the song, smooth high-pitched vocals (a nod to his idol Michael Jackson) over a then-fresh sounding production courtesy of Stargate (who in 2006 were still seen as up-and-comers in the U.S. Fast forward 4 years and they are Stateside Pop royalty – a title they’ve long held everywhere else.)
With new material on the way and after the disappointment that was ‘Libra Scale’, his fourth LP, we seriously hope the Grammy winning singer-songwriter has retrieved his mojo. For, he is among the better talents, alongside Chris Brown and Ciara, to have emerged from the music and entertainment scene since the mid 00’s.
In what will be sure to have everyone and their psychic scratching their heads, Adele‘s album ‘21‘ is back to #1 in the UK, for the 17th time.
The album, which now seems to have a mind of its own, is the highest selling album of the week in its domestic market.

Kelly Rowland ushers in the Summer season with sizzling new single ‘Lay It On Me’. The Hitboy produced cut follows her chart-topping smash ‘Motivation’ – which sits atop of the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop tally for its 7th week.
Last month saw an unfinished demo version of the track do the net rounds, however the latest incarnation of the track is confirmed to be the official single mix.
