After a somewhat rocky start to the week, R&B singer Keyshia Cole closed it out on cloud nine after finally tying the knot with finance Daniel ‘Boobie’ Gibson yesterday (May 21st).

The pair, who are parents to 14 month old Daniel Gibson Jr, have been engaged since January 2010; and though were set to marry in France, opted instead to make their union official this weekend in Las Vegas. There, they alo took to the skies in a helicopter to celebrate.

Announcing the news on Twitter, Cleveland Cavaliers player Gibson tweeted:

“It’s OFFICIAL!!!!! #Done & #TrulyBlessed.. Mr. & Mrs. Gibson. We appreciate all the Well Wishes! One of the Best nights of our Lives.. #NoQuestion.”

Congrats to Keyshia and Daniel.

Pop starlet Alexandra Burke was spotted strolling through the Los Angeles‘ LAX Airport earlier this week.

The X Factor winner has taken up temporary residence in the US, as she completes work on her hotly anticipated sophomore set. Producers Burke has worked with on the project include Rico Love (‘Motivation’), Andre Merrit (‘Disturbia’), Wayne Wilkins (‘Fight For This Love’), RedOne (‘On The Floor’), and  Swizz Beats (‘Get Me Bodied’). {Pic Source}

Randomness: With X Factor USA set to launch in September, I sure hope plans are being put in place to use it as a launchpad for Alex Stateside. Besides the $5 million deal signed with Epic Records US two years ago, it’s common knowledge that Alex is one of the very best things to come from te X Factor franchise; it’s high time she was showcased as such. For, in every sense of the word, she is world class.

Lady GaGa‘s ‘Born This Way’ promo campaign made another high profile stop tonight, this time at Saturday Night Live.

True to form, the 25 year old rocked the stage with performances which validate her  superstar status. The cuts performed include ‘The Edge of Glory’, ‘Judas’, and ‘Born This Way’.

Saturday Night Live was all an Lady GaGa affair tonight. For, as well as taking to the stage, the 25 year old featured in not one, but two of the show’s trademark skits.

Both co-starring host Justin Timberlake, the digital shorts see GaGa first don a wine bottle ensemble to sing hits from Flo Rida and co; while the other sees her, Timberlake, and Andy Samberg hilariously propose a threesome (…)

Oh Aubrey.

After briefly embracing the conservative, former Danity Kane diva Aubrey O’Day returned to her wild ways this weekend when she hosted a pool party at Las Vegas’ Liquid Lounge.

Rocking a barely there ensemble, the singer posed, played and frolicked the day away, with guests including ‘assistant’ Krystal Bronson, and producer Rob Knox. O’Day recently signed a major label deal with SRC/Universal Music.

The Saturdays guesting on the BBC’s ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ was always going to be ironic. For since debuting in 2008, the group’s live showings have favoured  5 girls drunk girls stumbling around on a Saturday night (pardon the pun).

However, the British belles’ premier performance of new single ‘Notorious’ went surprisingly well. So much so, it easily serves as their best performance to date. Hands down.

From the Naomi Campbell walking, to the weave tossing, to the believable backing track, as well as the tight choreography; this was most certainly a ‘we’ve arrived’ showing. One which is thoroughly welcome – even if it is 3 albums down the line.

Anyway, enough from me, check out Vanessa, Rochelle, Mollie, Una, and Frankie in action below…

Rapper Trina made headlines this week, following an angry tirade against BET – who omitted her from the Best Female Hip-Hop category at the BET Awards 2011.

With many, including nominees Nicki Minaj and Diamond, actually vouching for the Miami native, the network’s senior VP, Stephen Hill, has spoken up and out – explaining why the ‘Diamond Princess’ was excluded.

Somewhere in the darkest depth of Pop culture, Milli Vanilli are gagging in disgust. For if reports are to believed, a new vocally deficient duo may be after their spot. For, Rihanna and Britney Spears are apparently to perform together on tomorrow night’s Billboard Awards.
