Easily one of the season’s most anticipated TV specials, NBC’s ‘A Motown Christmas’ rocked the small screen on Wednesday night (December 11) after ample teasing.

Hosted by R&B legend Smokey Robinson and superstar singer-actress Halle Bailey, the star-studded showing featured a megawatt list of talent including the likes of Ashanti, Andra Day, BeBe Winans, Gladys Knight, Jamie Foxx, JoJo, Jordin Sparks, MGK, October London, The Temptations, and Pentatonix putting their spins on Motown and holiday classics.

Starring Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut and Etienne Maurice, the festive film – one of three the network is premiering this yuletide season – tells the tale of a wedding planner whose plans for her sister’s last-minute Christmas Eve wedding almost get derailed after her own ex-fiance unexpectedly shows up on the scene.

Directed by Rhonda Baraka, ‘Matrimony’ is set to march down to TV screens on Saturday (December 14).

Jackee Harry has already raised the ratings roof for Lifetime aboard their 2024 holiday movie ‘Make or Bake Christmas,’ but now the seasoned actress is bringing her signature brand of spice to BET+ for their yuletide-flavored film ‘Too Many Christmases.’

Harry supports a cast led by Valarie Pettiford, Denzel Whitaker, and Porscha Coleman.

The latest in a slew of highly anticipated efforts the streamer has released as part of their holiday movie slate this year, ‘Christmases’ tells the tale of newlyweds (portrayed by Whitaker and Coleman) who are attempting to navigate their first Christmas as a married couple while maneuvering around the hilarious and often confusing complexities of their separate families’ traditions.
