Get ready for ‘The Blackening’!

Directed by Tim Story and co-written by Tracy Oliver (who helmed ‘Girls Trip’ and ‘Harlem’), the hysterical horror movie follows a group of Black friends who head out on a Juneteenth weekend getaway.

However, they quickly find themselves trapped in a remote cabin with a twisted killer. A chaotic game ensues…only for them to discover that much more than a game is at play.

Central to the edgy flick is the question: “if the entire cast of a horror movie is Black, who becomes the first victim?”

Ahead of its June 16 theatrical release, a fresh trailer for the film – which stars Grace Byers, Jermaine Fowler, Melvin Gregg, X Mayo, Dewayne Perkins, Antoinette Robertson, Sinqua Walls, Jay Pharoah, and Yvonne Orji – has been unleashed.

Kesha has premiered her new song ‘Only Love Can Save Us Now’ from her hotly anticipated new album ‘Gag Order’ (due this Friday, May 19).

The track lassos in listeners with the Pop star’s signature IDGAF lyrics which are paired with a booming bassline. By its crescendo, the cut features a full-on choir and collectively they belt about the transformative power of love.

Speaking on the song, Kesha said:

“I have had an overwhelming dichotomy of emotions, oscillating between pain and love. Chaos and love. Fear and love. I wanted my song ‘Only Love Can Save Us Now’ to sonically, lyrically, and emotionally reflect the severity of my mental pendulum swings. The world is so overwhelming sometimes.  It requires a moment of surrender. The ludicrosity of life can make you crazy. If anything, IF ANYTHING, can save us, I believe only love can. This song is a desperate and angry prayer. A call to the light when all feels lost.”

Take a listen to the track, which follows ‘Fine Line’ and ‘Eat The Acid,’ below…
