With the May 5 release date of Ed Sheeran‘s forthcoming fifth studio album, ‘Subtract,’ looming, the GRAMMY-winning music superstar is pressing some serious gas on its promotion.
As the set’s lead single, ‘Eyes Closed,’ is off to a modest start on the Hot 100 (dropping to #39 on this week’s chart after premiering at #24 last week), Sheeran is undoubtedly hoping to get more eyes on the Aaron Dessner-produced tune.
The latest endeavor in that stead comes courtesy of the reveal of an acoustic version performed live at New York’s historic Kings Theatre as part of a sold-out, intimate show that saw him not only perform multiple cuts from the ‘Subtract’ album but also croon fan favorites like ‘Perfect,’ ‘Bad Habits,’ and more on Monday (April 10).
