Michelle Williams Preps 'Unexpected' According to Billboard.com, Michelle Williams’ new album has been titled ‘Unexpected’ and is slated for an August release via Music World/Columbia. Check out their preview of the album, as well as the confirmed tracklist:

“Unexpected” boasts production from Stargate, Rico Love, the Heavyweights, Wayne Wilkins, Andrew Frampton and SoulShock & Karl. “We Break the Dawn” is the first single, set to drop in April, while the Stargate-produced “Stop This Car” is the second.

The set features pulsating beats on “Lucky Girl,” where Williams uses a vocoder; “The Greatest,” utilizes a martial drum pattern and a winding piano riff; the “Pump Up the Jam”-esque “Private Party;” and the Heavyweights-produced “Thank You,” where Williams sings, “While you were out getting yours, boy I was getting mine / I want to thank you for the times you cheated on me.”

Official Tracklist:

1) Hello Heartbreak
2) We Break Tthe Dawn
3) Lucky Girl
4) The Greatest
5) Til the End of the World
6) Private Party
7) Stop This Car
8) Unexpected
9) Thank You
10) Too Young for Love

I’m real amped for Michelle’s record. August is quite a way away, but I guess they’re looking to drop two singles before the album is released.

Controversial singer Amy Winehouse posed for this revealing picture for the April issue of UK magazine Easy Living. Snapped by photographer Carolyn Djangoly, the pic is being used as part of a campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer among young women. I commend Amy for supporting such a good cause, but…

Despite having parted ways 2 years ago, R&B super-group Destiny’s Child were one of the recipients of Capital 95. 8’s ICON awards at a special ceremony yesterday night. Kelly Rowland was on hand to collect the award on behalf of the group at the event, which took place in London at the Park Plaza Riverbank. Kinda random, but I can’t be alone in thinking the ladies will reunite sooner rather than later…

Mariah Carey - 'Touch My Body' (Remix) This latest official remix of Mariah Carey’s chart smash ‘Touch My Body. Despite, featuring both The Dream and Rick Ross, as well as an all-new beat, the song doesn’t measure up to the original – which I must add has grown on me as of late.

Award winning actress Angela Bassett finally received a star on Hollywood’s iconic Walk Of Fame yesterday, in what is reported to have been an emotional ceremony. Though I’m kinda baffled as to why she’s only just receiving such an honor now, I am ecstatic for her. I’ve long stated that she’s, hands down, my favourite actress; her role in Tina Tuner’s 1993 biopic ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’ has had me hooked on her ever since. A prestigious award for such a rare talent. Congratulations.

For some reason unbeknown to me, Khia is still running her mouth about the Janet Jackson ‘So Excited’ fiasco (I call it that, only because she’s making it into one). According to the self-appointed ‘Thug Misses’, “Janet’s career will never recover” for how she ‘done her’, adding that “she’ll never be Mariah”.

Yes, the song should have been the first single. It wasn’t, so she needs to get over it. She’s only making herself look more pathetic with every rant she makes. SMH…

Danity Kane - 'Make Me Sick'‘Make Me Sick’ features as a bonus track on the Danity Kane’s latest album ‘Welcome To The Dollhouse’ – which saw its release Stateside this week. The uptempo R&B/Pop cut is very reminiscent to the sound on the album and is solid enough to have made the final tracklist. Anyone else hear similarities between this and Rihanna’s ‘Breakin’ Dishes’? In other Danity Kane news, ‘Welcome To The Dollhouse’ is predicted to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 – shifting somewhere in the region of 250,000-275,000 copies first week.

The video for newcomer Teyana Taylor’s single ‘Google Me’ premiered yesterday. A protegee of Pharrell Williams, Teyana’s debut has generated quite a buzz. The song is the first single to be lifted from Taylor’s LP ‘From A Planet Called Harlem’ (due May 20th). About the video, I’m really liking its concept, as it ties in well with the song. Saying that, the execution could have been a bit better – something about the vid comes across kinda cheap-looking. Still, Teyana’s unique sing/rap combination on her track(s) makes for her to be a breath of fresh air in an increasingly ‘samey’ industry. Tidbit: did you spot the cameo by a certain ‘O’ singer?

Jennifer Lopez & The Twins Cover PEOPLE The latest issue of PEOPLE magazine features Jennifer Lopez and her newborn twins Max and Emme on its cover. I’m still undecided about the whole celebs accepting money for pics of their kids thing. Word has it PEOPLE paid J.Lo and Marc Anthony between $4million and $6million for the first photographs of the twins. Not downing J.Lo or Marc, but it kinda seems like such people are pimping their offspring for money and exposure. Just a thought, I guess.

UK singer Estelle stopped by BBC Radio 1’s ‘Live Lounge’ to perform her current smash ‘American Boy’. I really enjoyed this performance and I’m glad she’s finally receiving the recognition she deserves both here at home and in the US too. According to the mid-week charts, ‘American Boy’ is on-course to hit number 1 on the Official UK Singles Chart this Sunday – a career first for the West Londoner.
