Shenseea may be vying for her first GRAMMY victory at this Sunday’s ceremony (February 2) after garnering her first solo nomination, but she’s already a winner in the eyes of fans and critics if the response to her latest single is anything to judge by.

Titled ‘Puni Police,’ the racy cut sees the Jamaican sensation reconnect with longtime producer Di Genius (who previously served as the craftsman behind her smashes ‘Die for You‘ and ‘Hit and Run‘).

“Run when you see Puni Police / Hide when you see Puni Police / Mi seh / Him make me feel like seh me is a thief ’cause mi / Deh ya a run from a Puni Police,” she sings over Genius production.

The 1980’s saw Puerto Rican songstress Lisa Velez (a.k.a. Lisa Lisa) go from virtual unknown to being one of the biggest music phenoms on the planet with chart-toppers like ‘Lost in Emotion’ and ‘Head to Toe’ as well as hits ‘I Wonder If I Take You Home,’ ‘Little Jackie Wants to Be a Star,’ and ‘Can You Feel the Beat.’

Lady Gaga Performs New Song at FireAid LA Benefit Concert

Lady Gaga joined a host of notable names to perform at the FireAid LA Benefit Concert.

The fundraising event was put on by Live Nation to support the relief effort for the unprecedented wildfires that impacted Los Angeles earlier this month.

Taking cneter stage, Mother Monster performed a new song named ‘All I Need is Time.’

Penned in partnership with with her fiancé Michael Polansky, Gaga said the track was “just for tonight” – indicating that the song will not be featured on her forthcoming album ‘Mayhem’ (due March 7).
