This pic of Mariah was taken on the set of Indie film ‘Tennessee’, in which she has a supporting role.
I’m guessing she looks like ‘that’ as part of the role. Hopefully this film is better than her last film effort – Glitter. Then again, even if this flops, the backlash won’t be as bad as she is not the main character.

Singer Kelis was arrested early Friday morning in Miami Beach after screaming racial obscenities at two female police officers who were posing as prostitutes. Damn. She’s bossy!
The officers were working an undercover operation in South Beach, when cops say Kelis started screaming racial slurs at the women. She continued screaming and rushed toward them, and had to be restrained by friends, a police report said. According to the report, Kelis’ “actions caused people walking by to stop and form a crowd. The sidewalk was blocked by the disturbance, causing people to walk in the street and causing traffic to stop.”
Kelis, the wife of rapper Nas, was charged with two misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and for resisting arrest.
A rep for Kelis had no comment.

Fantasia appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show yesterday to promote her stint as Celie in the Broadway production of ‘The Colour Purple’. Tasia gave a near-flawless performance of one of the songs from the play called ‘Im Here’. It was very emotive..she even shed a few tears.

Unsure about this one. The track is ok but the video is kinda bland. It should do well, though, off the back of his last single ‘You’ which hit #1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip Hop chart.
Lumidee (ft. Tony Sunshine) – She’s Like The Wind
Although I didn’t think I would, I’m liking this one. Maybe its because she’s rapping instead of attempting to sing (like before). Video is pretty much your standard R&B vid – nothing more, nothing less. One question though: Why does the feature artist appear more on the track than she does?
Timbaland (ft. Nelly Furtado & Justin Timberlake)
Not liking this one at all. The video is cheap as anything and I just can’t get into the track. Nelly’s voice- which I usually don’t mind- is really nasal and annoying. Then again, it might just be me…I can’t get past the idea that the song is supposedly taking shots at two artists I respect – Prince and Janet.

I’m kinda disappointed with this one. It really comes across as a missed opportunity. Here you have two of musics leading females and they put out such a lackluster and cheap video.

Much better video. Everything is on point apart from some of the choreography. Apart from that the video is hot.

I know some of you have been waiting on this one since the solo version of this track leaked a while back. This song is scheduled to be on Beyonce’s B’Day re-release, due to drop on April 3rd. I’m liking it alot, but I kinda like the solo version better. *Be sure to check back here tomorrow, as the videos for this track and another (rumoured to be Upgrade U) are expected to drop then.*Anyway..check it out:{Link Removed As Requested}

VARIETY reports that superstar singer Janet Jackson has been lined up to star in a new Tyler Perry movie (Madea series, Daddy’s Little Girls). The film, titled “Why Did I Get Married”, centres on a couple who go away with friends each winter to examine their marriages in a group setting. One of the wives brings along a sexy young temptress who causes plenty of trouble for the couples. Stars also signed up for the film include Jill Scott and Sharon Leal.
It’s Good to see her doing more films. However, will there still be a tour, if filming starts in March?

What’s up with all these stars repeatedly running in with the law? Busta, Foxy and now Bobby Brown (again). Brown was arrested yesterday for non-payment of child support fines and failing to show up in court. More embarrasingly, he was arrested outside his daughters’ (not Bobbi Kristina) cheerleading competion. Brown, 40, was said to be co-operative and is expected to post bail shortly.Fool.
