Aaliyahs label, Blackground Records, has issued an update on the late singer’s long-awaited new album.

As reported, plans have been underway to release the R&B icon’s first posthumous project of fresh material.

Initially promised to land in 2024, the year came and went without its arrival.

Now, on what would have been Aaliyah’s 46th birthday, Blackground has opened up about the delay and what’s to come.
