‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ easily serves as one of the year’s most eagerly awaited releases – and understandably so.

Directed by Oscar-winner Barry Jenkins, the Disney live-action prequel promises to add a compelling new chapter to the much-loved franchise.

Led by Aaron Pierre in the titular role and Kelvin Harrison Jr. as Taka (Scar), the blockbuster also stars Beyonce (who returns as Nala) and her daughter Blue Ivy Carter who takes on the crown of Kiara.

During a recent sit-down, Queen Bey praised the 12-year-old’s dedication and diligence in mastering the role.

And it’s a sentiment Jenkins echoed in earnest.

Sitting down with That Grape Juice‘s Maya Egbo, the director said:

“Her performance in the film is amazing! I was really moved by how prepared she was, how seriously she took the part – which she earned, by the way. I hope when people see the film that they see that this is a person acting, the same way Aaron Pierre is. There’s something really moving in that.”

Hallmark is set to continue its domination over holiday movie TV ratings with its forthcoming addition ‘Trading Up Christmas.’

Starring Michael Xavier and Italia Ricci, the film tells the story of a woman who hatches a creative plan to help her desperate sister find a new home in time for Christmas – a scheme that starts with an unexpected trade but ends with unexpected romance.

Lined with familiar faces like Sarah Cleveland, Taylor Love, Paul Popowich, Christopher Seivright, and more, the Bradley Walsh-directed flick flies to Hallmark on December 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

With producer extraordinaire James Fauntleroy at the helm, Mario released his long-awaited sixth studio album ‘Glad You Came‘ on Friday (December 13).

Led by the single ‘Space,’ the 13-track set – which serves as the follow-up to 2018’s critically acclaimed ‘Dancing Shadows‘ – comes as the R&B crooner’s first project under a new deal with Epic Records.

To celebrate the LP’s arrival to shelves, the 38-year-old treated music lovers to the official video for the soon-to-be fan favorite ‘Keep Going (Aaaaahhhhh).’

“You know I look deep in / Girl, you know we locked in / I release your stress ’cause I know you feel that pressure / Ah-ah-ah-ah / Seen this in my dream, it was you,” he relays on the song’s pre-chorus.
