Mary J. Blige stunned music lovers in December when she released a duo of comeback singles to kick off the era attached to her long-awaited 15th studio album.

Titled ‘Good Morning Gorgeous’ and ‘Amazing,’ the former tune would go on to top Billboard R&B charts while the DJ Khaled-assisted latter – though well-received on the critical front – failed to impel the impact of its parent album’s title track.

Could the tide for the braggadocious cut have been different if the original vision for it came to fruition?

In addition to serving as the executive producer for the soundtrack to the forthcoming Halle Berry film ‘Bruised’ (click here to view the trailer), Cardi B also contributes to the all-star tracklist which features the likes of City Girls, H.E.R., Saweetie, Latto, and more.

Her ‘Bruised’ feature ‘Bet It,’ which comes as a Latin-inspired cut that features interpolations of Camilo Sesto‘s 1972 hit, Algo de Mí,’ kicks off the 13-song soundtrack and houses lyrics that speak to her fighting spirit (a fitting addition to the LP’s tracklist given the film’s subject matter).

“I don’t see one, only Cardi B want it / Then I want some shit, ’cause I done some shit / Checks on like I just won some shit / Shoot up the charge like I gun some shit / Gotta read my deal, ’cause I run this shit,” Cardi raps on the Cool N Dre-produced number.

Love her or loathe her, what can’t be denied is Saweetie is easily one of the hardest working women in Hip Hop.

Just days ahead of blazing the MTV EMA stage with hits ‘Tap In,’ ‘Best Friend,’ and more Sunday (as we reported here), the rapstress unwrapped a holiday special that saw her rock performances of the same cuts.

Hosted by ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ star Symone, the ‘Icy Season: A Saweetie Special’ (November 9) came as a partnership with Amazon and Calvin Klein as the ‘My Type’ maestra serves as the spokeswoman for the fashion brand’s newest collection.

“Working with Calvin Klein and Amazon to curate my own show was so amazing– it’s unlike anything I’ve ever done,” said Saweetie. “The holidays are super special to me and that’s something I wanted to share with my fans and give them something extra icy. The show has a lot of firsts – new songs, new dances, and a bunch of surprises that I was so excited to bring to life.”

When not answering Q&A from her fans, affectionately called the #IcyGang, Saweetie was sharing fashion tips and rocking the stage.  Look inside to see how she fared:

Anne-Marie and Little Mix have wasted no time lighting a match under their new release ‘Kiss My (Uh-Oh).’

The bouncy bop, which features a prominent sample of Lumidee‘s 2003 smash ‘Never Leave You (Uh Oooh, Uh Oooh),’ is the latest track to receive the single treatment from Anne-Marie’s freshly unwrapped album ‘Therapy.’

For Little Mix, the song arrives on the heels of unprecedented success. The trio kicked off the year at #1 with ‘Confetti’ cut ‘Sweet Melody’ and have gone on to score two further top 10s with the LP’s Saweetie assisted title track and Galantis / David Guetta collaboration ‘Heartbreak Anthem’ – which has been dominating on a global scale.
