In 1998 the Pop group DREAM impacted the scene with material they hoped would see them rise to levels reached by their peers TLC, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

In 2017, one of its members has revealed that her time within the industry was more akin to a nightmare.

It’s official:  Miley Cyrus’ new album, ‘Younger Now,’ has delivered one of the worst first week sales figures of any established female pop act this decade.

Unlike Fergie’s abysmal numbers (which can to great degree be attributed to lengthy inactivity and the 10 year time lapse between her two solo projects), Cyrus has been fairly active over her storied career and even managed to see her last studio album, 2013’s ‘Bangerz,’ blast to the top of the Billboard 200 with approximately 270,000 units moved its inaugural week.

For ‘Younger,’ her fifth official era, the pop darling opted to abandon her temporary love affair with Urban pop to embrace her country roots.  And, while the shift appeared promising at its onset as the lead single, ‘Malibu,’ made a splash in the Hot 100’s top 10, that run was short-lived.

Despite an aggressive promo run that saw her hit the talk show circuit and more, the new album found itself lost in the fray of a host of big name releases – namely her fellow pop star Demi Lovato and the return of Country Pop Queen Shania Twain.  The result?  Miley, as forecasted, wound up miles behind the two powerhouses:

Cop a gander of a super snatched Janet Jackson!

The queen of Pop looked all sorts of good as she arrived at the afterparty for the sold-out Los Angeles stop of her State Of The World Tour.

Lensed at Lure, the 51-year-old stunned in a sheer black stop and leather skirt.

The appearance serves as a rare citing of Jackson, who has opted in recent times to keep her activity confined to the stage.

With new music reportedly nigh and a Netflix documentary also in the works, here’s hoping we’ll be seeing more of Janet out and about. Because she she is looking gorgeous!

Katy Perry‘s last album, ‘Witness,’ may be reporting the pop star’s worst commercial performance since she’s been signed to a major label, but that has not stopped her from pulling out all stops to resuscitate.

Beyond its big budget music videos, onslaught of high profile promotional appearances, and current world tour in its support, fans may recall the ‘Bon Appetit’ beauty taking to social media in June for a four day, around-the-clock Youtube live stream that garnered nearly 50 million viewers (click here to read more on that).

That action has now been consolidated into a full-length documentary titled ‘Will You Be My Witness’

Much like they voiced a strong disapproval of Lifetime’s 2015 biographical movie on Whitney Houston, simply titled ‘Whitney,’ the pop icon’s family is expressing similar opposition to the forthcoming biopic based on her daughter, Bobbi Kristina.

As we reported here, TV One is gearing up to air Bobbi’s life story in an unauthorized, made-for-TV film to chronicle her demise up to her untimely death in 2015 at the young age of 22.  Titled ‘Bobbi Kristina,’ the flick is set to hit screens on October 8th, but may never see the light of day if Kristina’s father – singer Bobby Brown – has his say.

Joining forces with his late daughter’s estate, Brown’s brought forth a lawsuit to stop the film from airing:

Janet Jackson’s ‘State Of The World Tour’ kicks off tomorrow in Lafayette, Louisiana!

Serving a surge of excitement to fans, the superstar shared a thirty-second clip to further amplify buzz for the shows – her first concert series since 2015’s ‘Unbreakable.’

In the clip, the mother-of-one quotes a powerful line from one of her famous eras, ‘The Velvet Rope.’ She wrote:

“You must remember that you were born with blood of Kings & Queens and can’t be stopped, stay strong…”

We also see a new headshot of the Pop royal. Glazed over in an earthy red filter, the ‘Rhythm Nation’ singer sports a slicked back hairstyle and a much more chiseled face. She certainly worked her hardest shed the weight put on pregnant with her now 8-month old son Eissa.
