Billed as the biggest night on the Broadway calendar, the 2016 instalment of the extravaganza takes place June 12th and will salute the achievements of actors and actresses populated the world renown strip.

This morning brought with it the official nomination announcement, a reveal which ushered good news for stars of ‘The Color Purple.’

The latest incarnation of the Oprah Winfrey production featured Jennifer Hudson (until recently), ‘Orange Is The New Black’ actress Danielle Brookes, and British lead Cynthia Erivo.

As the album’s title track clings to the top 20 on the Hot 100, you can expect to see the pop princess pop up on your television and radio to continue her quest to return it to its former top 10 glory.  Her latest stop came on last night’s ‘Fallon’ where she not only delivered a dynamo performance of the tune, but also gave an interview where she dished on its parent project (in stores May 20), her modeling dog (Toulouse), and so much more.

After his untimely death last week, pop icon Prince’s reign on the Billboard charts is nothing short of magnificent and a befitting send off to the music royal.

As we reported here, the singer/songwriter shot to #1 on Billboard 200 within just 24 hours of news of his passing.  Selling over 179,000 units of his greatest hits project on April 21 alone, the album sits pretty at #1 this week while his magnum opus, ‘Purple Rain,‘ follows at #2.

Tinashe‘s ‘Joyride Tour‘ made its way to Santa Ana recently.

There, before the unveiling of its parent album of the same name, the rising starlet rocked her audience with a performance of her single ‘All Hands on Deck.’

Much to the surprise of those who’d praised its supporting visual the song bombed on the U.S. charts. However, that’s done all of nothing to stop the promising Urban Pop princess from pushing the cut with performances like the one served up at The Observatory below…

Undisturbed by the fact he has been prohibited to enter the country, the entertainer will be elated to learn that his single ‘Ayo’ has sold over 600,000 units there and has now been certified platinum because of it.

Currently on course to drop the following up to his latest album ‘Royalty’ the star’s unstoppable success on the Official Singles Charts is yet to be mirrored on the Official Albums Chart but has also seen him pick a silver certification for his Deorro-backed bop ‘Five More Hours.’
