‘The Six Triple Eight’ arrives on Netflix this December.

Penned and directed by Tyler Perry, the eagerly anticipated movie is anchored by Kerry Washington, who stars as Major Charity Adams – the commanding officer of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion.

Based on the article by Kevin M. Hymel, the movie is inspired by the first and only Women’s Army Corps unit of color to serve overseas in WWII and unpacks a narrative of overcoming racism, sexism, and unthinkable working conditions.

Washington appears alongside an impressive cast that features Ebony Obsidian, Milauna Jackson, Kylie Jefferson, Shanice Shantay, Sarah Jeffery, Pepi Sonuga, Moriah Brown, Jeanté Godlock, Susan Sarandon, Dean Norris, Sam Waterston, and Oprah Winfrey.

As reported, ‘The Six Triple Eight’ includes an original song written by Oscar honoree Diane Warren and performed by H.E.R.

A limited theatrical run has been set for December 6, with the film arriving on Netflix on December 20.

Kesha turns life into art in the most cheeky way with the cinematic music video for her July-released single ‘Joyride.’

Making what appears to be multiple references to her bad blood with former label boss Dr. Luke, the Laura Gorun-directed clip kicks off with a voiceover saying the songstress is “set to be released after nine years of wrongful imprisonment.”

“Are you a man?/ Cuz I’m a b–ch/ I’m already rich/ Just looking for that mmmmm/ This party sucks I’m ’bout to ditch,” she sings over the Zhone-produced cut.

‘Joyride’ is lifted as the first single from Kesha’s own self-titled label after settling the defamation suit Luke filed against her in 2023 – a shocking end to years of her attempting to take legal action against him for allegedly sexually and emotionally abusing her.

The tune’s video arrives just a week before her next drop, ‘Delusional,’ hits digital shelves on November 29.

Ahead of the latter’s arrival, enjoy the ‘Kill Bill’-inspired action of ‘Joyride’ inside.
