Readers of That Grape Juice know how passionate we are about music – whether that be past or present.

However, unlike our other segments – Retro Rewind, TGJ Replay, and From The Vault – The Pop Stop is the most in-depth look at Pop songs that may have flown under the radar over the last week that you should know, rather they be from music’s biggest stars or those on the rise.

This week, we want to highlight cuts from Lewis Capaldi, RM, Alec Benjamin, and Powfu.

After rocking music lovers all year long with bops like Booty‘ (featuring Latto), Material Gworllllllll (with Queen of Pop Madonna), ‘No Voting No Vucking (with Trina), and more, Saucy Santana is ready to rock the mic by his lonesome with the aptly titled new single, ‘Bop Bop.’

Released courtesy of RCA Records, the bass-buoyed banger boasts Santana’s signature sassy wordplay and an infectious chorus.

“When I’m on the scene all the hoes gon’ jock / Phone gon’ ring, coins don’t stop / Clubbin’ all night, bottles gon’ pop / Step off in the spot, bop-bop-bop,” he spits on the braggadocious track.

Despite having found tenancy on the Billboard Hot 100 with their respective solo hits across the early 2000’s, the decade that followed couldn’t boast as many appearances from R&B veterans Ray J, Sammie, Bobby V, and Pleasure P.

To turn the tide, the quartet – under the new moniker RSVP – have joined forces and are bursting on the scene as the latest supergroup.

Although the group’s members have varying ventures that have kept them in the public eye over 2022 (i.e. ‘Millennium‘ tour, VERZUZ, reality TV, and more), it’s been said they have found time to collectively work on a studio album which will hit shelves in 2023.

Ahead of its arrival, the foursome have unleashed their debut single, ‘Money Everywhere’ – a strip club anthem sure to get heads bobbing and booties bouncing.

Southern gals unite!

Just weeks after subtly teasing she had something in the works with Memphis Rap icon Gangsta Boo (as we reported here), Atlanta-reared rapstress Latto lifts the lid on the sizzling collaboration, ‘FTCU.’

An acronym for ‘F*ck the Club Up,’ the new bop also features rising Memphis femcee GloRilla.

“F**k the club up / I might stand up on your shit and f**k a dub up,” she raps on the D.A. Got That Dope-produced cut.

Tapping the Bluff City belles to feature on ‘FTCU’ was apt given the song prominently samples Three 6 Mafia’s 90’s hit, ‘Tear Da Clup Up.’

See the ladies live up to the tune’s title in more ways than one in its official music video inside.
