Adele is back and, as anticipated, decimating the competition.

With new single ‘Hello’ flying up the charts just an hour after its release, the British belter hit the promotional trail to plug the track and its housing album ’25.’

She also gushed about label-mate Beyonce, who she says is her most desired collaboration, as well as why

‘High By the Beach’ beauty Lana Del Rey is still riding the wave of a social and professional high.

In addition to watching her latest singles ‘Music To Watch Boys To‘ and ‘Beach’ make notable splashes on the Billboard Hot 100, the trap-pop diva also saw their parent album – ‘Honeymoon’ – sail right to the #2 spot on the Billboard 200 (with very little promotional push to support them).

Now, as fans await news on how she’ll close out her 2015, the singer took to Billboard to discuss plans of acting and even shared her thoughts on motherhood and her ever-constant fear of death.

An interesting read indeed, read highlights from her time with our friends at Billboard and see the accompanying photo shoot below:

The ‘Love & Hip-Hop’ franchise is renown for serving up ratchet reality on weekly rotation. However, in an interesting move, the show used its platform this week to broadcast an engaging debate.

Titled ‘Out In Hip-Hop,’ the spin-off panel discussion honed in on what is still a taboo topic in the hyper-masculine arena of Rap – homosexuality.

Born out of uproar caused by the arrival of gay couple Milan and Miles on the Hollywood branch of the series, the one-off special (hosted by TJ Holmes) featured both gay and straight artists as well as cultural figures waxing honest about their experiences in the industry.

Featured were the likes of Ray J, Lil Fizz, and D.M.C from iconic group Run D.M.C.

Can a gay rapper ever succeed in the mainstream? Are they already doing so now? What really happens “behind the scenes”? These questions and more are addressed with refreshing candidness.

Watch below as ‘Love & Hip-Hop’ gets real (for real) after the jump…

lee daniels casting call tgj

After using breakout hit ‘Empire’ to take Trai Byers (Andre), Jussie Smollett (Jamal), and Bryshere Gray (Hakeem) from virtually unknown to household names, the show’s creator/director Lee Daniels is looking to create his next set of stars.

Via the aptly titled ‘Star,’ Daniels has teamed with FOX to create a new musical drama centered around a three girl-band’s rise to the top (and the drama, heartache, and disappointment encountered along the way).  Set to begin shooting in December in Atlanta, the execs at the network are looking to fill the roles fairly quickly and have launched an international digital casting call.

Talented and outspoken, Tamar Braxton can now add good sport to her list of characteristics.

Janet Jackson bested her on last week’s album tally when her ‘Unbreakable’ album sold three times as much as Braxton’s latest effort ‘Calling All Lovers.’

However, the youngest of the Braxton clan proved that there were no hard feelings on last night’s ‘Dancing With The Stars.’

For, along with partner Val Chmerkovskiy, the singer recreated Jackson’s iconic ‘Rhythm Nation’ video live on stage.

It’s been a rocky re-introduction to the music industry for Gwen Stefani.

2012 brought it the botched comeback of No Doubt, while last year’s solo re-boot was more soggy than success.

Presently in promo mode for the show’s latest season, the 46-year-old used the moment to open up about what went wrong with her 2014 efforts. She also unwrapped a new song titled ‘Used To Love You.’
