That point is reiterated aplenty by the “Miles sisters” in the forthcoming holiday film, ‘The Christmas Clapback.’

Multi-hyphenate diva Jennifer Lopez is no stranger for making headlines after tackling beloved musical numbers from some of history’s most celebrated vocal divas.

When not rocking the GRAMMYs  with a Motown tribute that featured her singing Teena Marie‘s eternal jam, ‘Square Biz,’ Lopez has tried her hand at Barbra Streisand‘s ‘Enough is Enough,’ Toni Braxton‘s ‘Unbreak My Heart,’ and even took a crack at her arch nemesis Mariah Carey‘s modern Christmas classic, ‘All I Want For Christmas’ (as we reported here).

And when it comes to Christmas, J.Lo has never shied away from showing off her festive spirit.

In 2020, she teamed with renown vocal coach and good friend Stevie Mackey for an updated take on the holiday tune, ‘It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year’ – a number they later shared a live party performance of on Instagram.

Already excited for holiday season 2022, Mackey took to YouTube recently to revisit even more scenes from that epic yuletide gathering including one where Lopez and powerhouse vocalist Shelea gathered around the piano to belt Whitney Houston‘s inaugural chart-topper, 1985’s ‘Saving All My Love For You.’

Self-proclaimed ‘Queen of da Souf’ Latto may be paving her own lane in the music realm thanks to big hits like ‘Big Energy’ and ‘It’s Givin,’ but she’s never shied away from givin’ props to the Rap Queens who came before her – especially those from the South.

Though historically noted for her reverence of Foxy Brown, Lil Kim, and Nicki Minaj (despite their recent fallout), Latto (born Alyssa Stephens) has gone on record praising Southern female Rap icon Trina – who also featured on the remix of the 23-year-old’s breakout hit ‘B*tch from da Souf’ – and also Memphis legends La Chat and Gangsta Boo.

The latter found herself the topic of Stephens’ conversation once more, this time during the ‘Wheelie‘ star’s recent pit stop in Vancouver as supporting act on the critically acclaimed, Lizzo-led ‘Special Tour.’

Kelly Rowland is booked, busy, and unbothered.

The GRAMMY-winning diva, who is hot on the promo trail for her new Paramount+ movie ‘Fantasy Football,’  dominated headlines this week for clapping back at Hot 97 radio DJ Peter Rosenberg for saying she ‘plays second’ to former bandmate/best friend Beyonce.

“Light attracts light, and I am light. So I am a beautiful brown shining light. I don’t think anybody’s light dims anyone else’s,” she told Rosenberg at the time. ”I think that when other people start to compare you, I think that shows how dim they are of themselves.”

Once she was done, Twitter united to continue the drag – not only slamming Peter for his problematic commentary but also giving the ‘Flowers‘ singer her flowers for the work she’s done as a solo act across movies and music for the last 20 years.

Although the uproar prompted the DJ to quickly lend an apology, Rowland – instead of directly responding to him – opted to thank her fans and admirers for the massive outpour of support.

Over the summer R&B superstar Chris Brown made headlines for saying music award shows haven’t invited him to perform in years, a message that underscores why he – despite having some of the biggest Urban hits of the last decade – has rarely been seen delivering said smashes on major televised stages.

His dedicated fan base, affectionately called #TeamBreezy, thought the ‘Fortune‘ singer’s misfortune was set to change when reports surfaced he was due to do a tribute to his idol, Michael Jackson, in honor of the 40th anniversary of the King of Pop’s magnum opus, ‘Thriller,’ at the American Music Awards (AMAs) on Sunday (November 20).

And while rehearsal footage eventually surfaced of Brown showing off his oft-praised footwork in salute of the music icon, he doubled back to confirm he’s no longer on the show’s performance roster.
