Today sees the return of the hit Netflix series ‘The Umbrella Academy’ for its third season.

All the familiar faces are back along with a handful of new ones.

In season 3, after putting a stop to 1963’s doomsday, the Umbrella Academy journey to the present day, expecting to celebrate. However, they quickly realize nothing is how they left it. Enter the Sparrow Academy, who clash with the Umbrellas in a violent face-off that turns out to be the least of everyone’s concerns.

Ahead of the premiere, That Grape Juice’s Chet Kincaid chatted it up with Tom Hopper (Luther Hargreeves #1), David Castañeda (Diego Hargreeves #2), Justin H. Min (Ben Hargreeves #2), Emmy Raver-Lampman (Allison Hargreeves #3), Robert Sheehan (Klaus Hargreeves #4), Aidan Gallagher (‘Number Five”, and Ritu Arya (Lila Pitts).

During the insightful sit-downs, the cast speak about their characters’ evolution and the preparation it took before shooting the big dance number.

Vickie Winans may own one of the most revered voices in the history of Gospel music, but she recently came under fire for a performance that didn’t depict that voice in its best light.

The 68-year-old GRAMMY nominee took to the stage to deliver a strained rendition of her timeless classic ‘Safe in His Arms’ that left her everything except safe from commenters who noted everything from the seeming struggle to power through the song’s climax and more.

And though Winans is no stranger to voice issues having undergone surgeries on her vocal cords in the past, some wondered if there was more to be concerned about than that given the bizarre antics during the showing (i.e. putting a towel over her face mid-performance).

Doechii is ready for her time to shine.

The rising music superstar has just released exclusive DSCVR performances of her songs, ‘Persuasive’ and ‘Crazy.’ 

Vevo DSCVR focuses on the development of emerging artists, through performance content and careful curation.

Having signed with Top Dawg Entertainment in March of 2022, she released ‘Persuasive,’ which an ode to late nights and partying too hard. As for her song ‘Crazy,’ she explains that the song is about unconfined creativity and power.

The news of her latest performances comes shortly after she made her late night TV debut on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,’ where she performed both songs.

Queen Beyonce has finally made her comeback and it has been the stuff of legends.

For, she released her new single, ‘Break My Soul’ on June 20. The song is set to appear on her upcoming album, ‘Renaissance,’ which is due out July 29.

Taking charge after taking the charge proves to be the focal point of the new BET+ original movie, ‘Bid For Love.’

Directed by Arthur Muhammad and produced by Lawainna Patterson and London Williams, the film tells the tale of Sasha (portrayed by ‘Saints & Sinners’ star Dawn Halfkenny) as she attempts to reclaim her life and time after doing a bid in prison for her former drug-trafficking boyfriend whose street name is “Memphis” (portrayed by ‘Ruthless’ star Blue Kimble).

Queen of Funk Chaka Khan led a royal, star-studded lineup of performers for CNN’s inaugural ‘Juneteenth: a Global Celebration for Freedom’ concert Sunday (June 19).

Airing live from Los Angeles’ famous Hollywood Bowl, the performance roster included the likes of Earth, Wind & Fire, Mary Mary, Michelle Williams, Khalid, Ne-Yo, Bell Biv Devoe, Yolanda Adams, and notably the renowned all-Black symphony orchestra Re-Collective Orchestra (conducted by Thomas Wilkins and Derrick Hodge with musical direction from Adam Blackstone and Questlove).

A most fitting toast to the federal holiday which commemorates the official end of slavery in the U.S., look inside if you missed any of the action when it first aired.

Doja Cat‘s third studio album, ‘Planet Her,’ is not only still in orbit around the Billboard 200’s top 20 nearly a year after its release but it’s also still managing to spin out hits on the Billboard Hot 100.

The 26-year-old, who is currently in recovery after a tonsil surgery prompted the cancellation of her summer touring plans, is enjoying the fruit of the hard work she put in up to that point as her name is mentioned five times on the current Hot 100 – three in the top 40 alone.

As if placement at #14 alongside Post Malone (‘I Like You’) and #23 with her ‘Planet Her’ hit ‘Woman’ aren’t enough to boast about, another gem from the LP – ‘Get Into It (Yuh)’ – has broken into the top 40 for the first time since its March premiere.
