Published: Wednesday 17th Aug 2022 by Ryan

Demi Lovato is making major moves.

For, not only has she just released a new song, but she also shared if she will ever return to pop music or not.

Full story below…

Ahead of the release of her single ’29,’ the former Disney star revealed that she does not plan to return to pop music, saying: “I don’t know where things are going to take me, but I do know what the future holds for me is no my pop music.”

Shortly after, Lovato continued her upcoming pop-rock era with the release of her song ’29.’ The song appears to – but not confirmed to – take aim at her ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama and the age difference they had when dating.

Across the tune, she sings:

Finally 29/ Funny just like you were at the time/ Thought it was a teenage dream, just a fantasy/ But was it yours or was it mine?/ 17, 29.

Give it a listen just below…

The new song comes shortly before the release of her upcoming ‘Holy Fvck’ album, which is slated to be released on August 19.

The project is set to feature the singles ‘Substance’ and ‘Skin of My Teeth.’

Ooh I like this. Reminds of Ashley Simpson’s debut album’s sound, doesn’t it? Demi fits the genre and the genre fits her voice. Clever wording of the lyrics, too. Replay underway.

When this album tanks, she’ll be singing pop music again. Just like she wanted her pronouns to be they/them until this new music started flopping 🙄 she’s exhausting
