The story of Mike Tyson may be one of the most well-known in both sport and pop culture, but that doesn’t render it any less compelling.

Hulu clearly agrees because the platform will play host to ‘Mike’ – an eight-part limited series about the boxing icon.

‘Moonlight’ star Trevante Rhodes laces up his gloves and transforms into Iron Mike – and, based on the newly unleashed trailer, his portrayal looks all sorts of convincing.

Helmed by creator/screenwriter Steven Rogers and showrunner Karin Gist, ‘Mike’ is touted as a “no holds barred” look into the peaks and troughs of one of the most legendary entities to ever step into the ring.

More than a topline tabloid exploration, ‘Mike’ deep dives into various corners of the star’s life with a granular focus on race and class, the American Dream, and the public molding of a story like no other.

With an August arrival date set, check out the first look trailer below…
