Monica and Brandy have been making their rounds to various radio stations and music networks promoting their latest duet ‘It All Belongs To Me’ this past week.

It’s a far cry from the teenage drama filled romp that was 1998’s record-breaking chart topper ‘The Boy Is Mine’. When ‘Boy’ was released, rumors swirled that the two R&B newcomers did not care for each other, let stand to be alone in the same room together–these reports were later fueled by their refusal to perform the song or even promote together.

Their feud allegedly reached a fever pitch during the MTV Video Music Awards when a verbal argument backstage turned dangerously physical.

Listen to Brandy and Monica open up to Hot 97‘s Angie Martinez about the night in question after the jump and sound-off below.

R&B songbirds Brandy and Monica stopped by Power 105‘s Breakfast Club to plug their latest hit ‘It All Belong To Me’.

And as anyone who knows how Charlemagne and co get down, the interview was never going to be standard-fare.

A must-watch in many a way, the candid chat saw the ladies really speak in-depth on some of the online abuse they’ve received; with Brandy lamenting on being branded a “murderer” on Twitter, while Monica relayed the strife caused by a life-threatening stalker.

Of course, the seriousness of the matters we’re levelled out by the ample dose of ‘crazy’ the hosts serve up. A combo which made for a hilarious, yet insightful watch.

Well, at least online.

So now, in what will sure to sweeten her presently sour persona, she has complimented Nicki Minaj, branding her a ‘brilliant lyricst’.

Ever keen on keeping the masses abreast of fresh and/or often underrated talent, That Grape Juice presents ‘The Spill’ – a renewed look at not-so-new, yet active, acts.  Much like its ‘Freshly Squeezed’ sister segment, this assay aims to put the magnifying glass on talents who may not appeal to the buying public on a broad scale yet are still serving material that could easily spin side-by-side with some of today’s top hits.

Covering a kaleidoscope of genres, ‘The Spill’ is set to feature some names you probably know and love as well as some you’ll (soon) be glad to know.

Our tertiary entry comes in with the jams of Jon B.  Before Robin Thicke ruled the airwaves as the king of blue eyed soul, another crooner was the face of R&B’s melanin-deprived divos.  Taking a mentor in the very man many claimed his voice was identical to (Babyface), B.’s 90s career skyrocketed with hits like ‘Are You Still Down’ (featuring Tupac), ‘I Do‘, and of course, fan favorite, ‘They Don’t Know’.  Take a listen below:

While B. has yet to equal or surpass the success of his 1997 sophomore album ‘Cool Relax’ (parent album of ‘They Don’t Know’), he has since released 5.  His most recent album ‘Comfortable Swagg’ (February 14th), found the crooner reminding listeners that while not dominating charts, there are still some hopelessly devoted to the genre.
