The American Music Awards 2021 were held Sunday night (November 21) live at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and – per usual – the ceremony had many-a-highlight thanks to jaw-dropping performances from the likes of Jennifer Lopez, BTS, Chloe Bailey, Silk Sonic, and many more (as we reported here).

Yet, even with the spectacle each of the aforementioned acts provided, the biggest star of the Cardi B-hosted show remained the awards themselves.

JAY-Z has officially been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2021.

And the celebration was a family affair.

Ahead of Dave Chapelle‘s formal induction speech, a star-studded video package played featuring a number of notable names – including wife Beyonce and their oldest daughter Blue Ivy.

The pair playfully rapped HOV’s lyrics and offered heartfelt words about his impact.

They were joined by the likes of Barack Obama, Rihanna, Regina King, Usher, and Jay’s mom, Gloria Carter.

Jennifer Lopez was hand to help LL Cool J celebrate his oh-so-deserved induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2021.

The legendary rapper performed as part of his ordination and was joined by J.Lo to perform their hit ‘All I Have.’

Armed with the same momentum that helped turbocharge the track to the top of charts worldwide in 2002, the pair proved they’ve lost none of their luster.

Saweetie came, saw, and conquered ‘SNL’ this weekend with not one, but two blazing performances.

The classic sketch comedy’s November 20 episode, hosted by Simu Liu, came as the rapper’s inaugural visit as musical act.

Before giving the first televised live performance of her new single, ‘Icy Chain,’ the 28-year-old lit up the ‘SNL’ stage with a medley of her hits ‘Best Friend’ and ‘Tap In’ while rocking costuming and a set inspired by old Hollywood glamour fused with a subtle nod to the 1976 film classic ‘Sparkle.’
