Barely a year after releasing his fourth studio album, the chart-topping ‘Twelve Carat Toothache,’ rapper-singer Post Malone (born Austin Post) has lifted the lid on its follow-up: ‘Austin.’

Released Friday (July 28), the eponymous effort – co-produced by Louis Bell and Andrew Watt – boasts no features across its 17 tracks.

Preceded to Billboard 200 battle by the singles ‘Chemical,’ ‘Mourning,’ and ‘Overdrive,’ ‘Austin’ comes as Post’s first LP to lack a Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hit (as of time reported) and have a noted lack of buzz compared to its predecessors.

Will that have an impact on the set’s first-week sales? Time will tell. Until then, stream the new project inside courtesy of Apple Music and Spotify.

Readers of That Grape Juice know how passionate we are about music – whether that be past or present.

However, unlike our other segments – Retro Rewind, TGJ Replay, and From The Vault – The Pop Stop is the most in-depth look at Pop songs that may have flown under the radar over the last week that you should know, rather they be from music’s biggest stars or those on the rise.

This week, we want to highlight cuts from Joni Mitchell, Anne-Marie, Mitski, and Tyla .

Adekunle Gold has poured out his ‘Tequila Ever After.’

Serving as the Afro-Pop star’s fifth studio album (and debut for Def Jam), the flavorsome set packs a potent punch.

Towering tall at 17 tracks, the project was preceded by singles ‘Party No Dey Stop,’ ‘Ogaranya,’ and songs from his ‘Tio Tequila’ EP landed earlier this year.

An eclectic array of collaborators join AG on the LP – including Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers, Khalid, Coco Jones, and the performer’s wife Simi. Producers in the mix include Labrinth and Gold’s longtime partner in rhyme Kel-P.

Touted as a love letter the sound of Africa that has reverberated across the globe (such as Afrobeats and Amampiano), Gold said of the album:

“I’m not the Adekunle Gold who released my first album in 2016. I have a lot more confidence now.”

Nearly five years after topping the Billboard 200 with his third solo studio album ‘AstroWorld,’ Hip-Hop hitmaker Travis Scott is ready to repeat with feat with its star-studded follow-up, ‘Utopia.’

The long-teased set – which features megastars like Beyoncé, Drake, Sampha, James Blake, Metro Boomin, Kanye West, The Weeknd, Bad Bunny, and more across its 19 tracks – arrives as a surprise drop despite promises to fans they would see some of its content performed live at the Pyramids of Giza (an endeavor rescheduled due to ‘complex production issues’).

Delivered ahead of ‘Circus Maximus,’ a film co-directed by Scott alongside Kahlil Joseph, Harmony Korine, Gaspar Noe, Nicolas Winding Refn, and Valdimar Jóhannsson, ‘Utopia’ comes as the rapper’s first full-length musical project since the tragic ‘AstroWorld’ festival that claimed multiple lives and caused injuries to several attendees in 2021.  While Travis was never indicted on criminal charges for the incident, he is still facing multiple lawsuits.
