The ever-reliable folk over at Urban Bridgez have unveiled the official track-listing for Alicia Keys‘ eagerly awaited 4th studio album ‘The Element of Freedom’ (due December 15th). Rumours of an Alicia / Beyonce duet had been gathering momentum for a few weeks now, and according to this tracklist, it’s true. Check it out!

I’ve got to hand it to ol’ Bouncy she’s venturing into the collabo territory a lot more these days (see: Lady GaGa, Usher, Justin), yet picking the best of the best to work with. Here’s hoping the track itself is gonna be worth the hype.

NOT quite sure how I feel….to be honest, it’s mixed feelings. As much as I LOVE Alicia and I admire Beyonce, it just doesn’t seem right to me. Something about it says NO, in fact HELL NO! (even as wrong as that sounds) I’m increasingly worried that Alicia is moving to a pop sound that’s made for radio without substance. Additionally, I think this song with Beyonce may even fuel the fire that one may be better than the other. Will they both try to outsing each other? Will Beyonce try to prove she’s queen? WIll Alicia try to out-do her? I just don’t want them to compete…and I feel as though the song won’t be as good as it can be because they are 2 majorly great artists/performers. Sigh….I guess I’ll have to see what it will actually sound like. Just as well, when I get the CD I have to resist the urge to skip right to that track…
I HOPE THEY RELEASE IT AS A SINGLE!!!!!! ALICIA AND BEYONCE THE TWO BIGGEST R&B FEMALES THIS DECADE TOGETHER ON ONE SONG!!!!!! EPIC!!!

Her 3rd single is Dreaming and isn’t up here…Drake and her just finished a track that I’m certain wouldn’t be left off…Jay-Z IS featured on the album…finally, she JUST turned the album in yesterday. A label would not turn over a tracklisting THIS soon… considering she turned in more than 5 new songs!

I hope it’s a ballad in their lower register. Both have amazing tones and are brilliant singers.
I’m sorry but I have not liked ONE Beyonce collabo yet. The one with Shakira sucked. The GaGa video was some overhyped mess….she didn’t fit on Justin’s song and….just on and on.
The real deal is, Beyonce doesn’t want to go away. She doesn’t want to go away between CDs is the problem….always there–ALWAYS. But this project for Alicia does not look like a winner so she should be thankful for Beyonce’s help in this case.

Drake is also on the album. He cowrote track #7 and sings background vocals. The Empire state of Mind w/ JayZ is on the album too.
I’m not worried about Beyonce taking the shine from Alicia, cuz you just can’t come on her records and make it a mess! Alicia will have this w**** really singing like she needs to! Alicia is a smart women! I see why she has 12 Grammy’s cuz she actually wants to win, and she wants quality! So when ya’ll they the track with her on it, it will be proper and classic, not this high school s*** she been making!

If it is true, I don’t know how this will sound. To me they are very different musically, Alicia has more mature music and Bey is still more trendy. It doesn’t surprise me since Alicia was working with J no wonder Bey figured let me get on in there, you know her and Matthew never stop making deals and such. I love big collabos but they can go very wrong, as long as they focus and play up each of their strengths it could be huge. Whitney and Deborah C** did it right, ‘Same Script Different Cast’ is still my jam. Whitney and Mariah did it right. Whitney, Faith and Kelly Price was good. Monica/Brandy was good. So I guess we will see.
Please Alicia is a master at her craft! If Beyonce is so damn talented, they why she won’t stop shaking her ass and start being a singer? Your looks only last so long, and imo she is starting to look old to me real fast! I just feel that Alicia is a way better artist than Beyonce! Trust and believe Alicia will have her name in the history books, as well as Beyonce! In Alicia’s case she will at least have her dignity and respect, and not be known as a video h**, that had to sell out to stay on top!
