With the release of Alicia Keys‘ ‘The Element of Freedom’ LP drawing ever nearer, the hotly anticipated Beyonce collaboration from the CD ‘Put It In A Love Song’ has surfaced…and boy is it a winner!
Completely left-field to what I expected upon seeing its title, the pulsating, drum-driven cut packs a powerful punch. ”Love Song’ is sassy, attitude-heavy and all-round the quality of track you’d expect from two artist of their calibre. That said, the chorus could have been stronger, however it doesn’t take away from what ultimately is one sure-fire hit – should it be released as a single (which it has to be!)
{Thanks Irvine!}

Atleast I know what to look forward to with Beyonce’s new album. This doesn’t fit Alicia Keys..but yea okay..it’s gonna be a hit anyway..so why ask if it’s a hit or miss…the media is gonna shove this down our throats until we get tired of it…so HIT…but not b/c I feel it is…

This is really weird. I expected something more along the lines of a duet/ballad. Not an upbeat song. If this is a good song, this will have to be a grower. The chorus is really juvenile and not mature lyrics, that really neither of them should be singing, but hey, MC still does at age 39 (thanks The-Dream)!
Hmmm, if it does extremely well at radio (meaning long lasting in the Top 10 of the Hot 100) then its because of their names/star quality, not quality of the song.
I wish they did a ballad, something “When You Believe,” but Alicia was probably to scared of Beyonce’s vocals outshining hers-and y’all know that is the truth. I AM NO BEYONCE STAN!

Not that good. Both women can sing (I prefer Alicia’s voice by a mile, though), but it feels very uninspired. I guess I’ll have to get used to it; since it has Beyonce’s name on it, it’ll be played 5000000000000 times an hour, whether we like it or not.

I so LOVE this song! I dont know why ppl are comparing this song to a juvenlie song, just because its not a piano ballad like a normal a.keys song doesn’t mean it doesn’t have meaning. it has a meaning, not just a song for you to dance too. say what you want, but i enjoy this a.keys better than the old one… ppl kill always wanting artist to stay the same as they were when they first came out. get over it ppl!
On another note, this does remind me of a b’day song, but it also kinda reminds me of alicia’s song that she did with jamacian artst cham… it was called ghetto story. but hey, that’s just my opinion.

BEYONCE DOESNT WRITE SHIT, FOR ANYONE TO SAY SHES A TALENTED WRITER, REALLY NEEDS TO STFU:
News has sprung up that the girls of Destiny’s Child are heading to Chicago on Tuesday to face a copyright-infringement lawsuit for their song Cater 2 U.
This legal mess the girls find themselves in has Kelly Rowland pointing the finger at Beyonce’s father for trying to push his daughter ahead of the pack.
It seems that for many years, Matthew Knowles negotiated songwriter credits for Beyonce to give her more credibility and cash. According to insiders, Kelly is fuming over the fact that his greed is now falling back on her. The source says:
“Matthew [Knowles] has a long history of trying to get songwriters to add Beyonce’s name to songs she didn’t compose, just so she gets publishing royalties. That information eventually became widely known, and now anyone who wants to accuse Kelly or Destiny’s Child of stealing material has ammunition to file a lawsuit. Kelly is livid.”
This isn’t the first time an allegation like this has been made against the Knowles family.
In 2006, Ne-Yo called out Beyowulf for declaring she wrote her smash hit Irreplaceable, when he insisted she had nothing to do with the lyrics and minimal involvement on the music.
But back to Kelly, the news of this lawsuit and the reunion of the girls to fight the charges leaves her and Beyonce in a difficult spot. Earlier this year, Kelly fired Matthew as her manager and since then, the girls have tried to keep things cordial. But this might put an end to that. The source says:
“She and Beyoncé remained cordial at first. But things have gotten tense since Kelly griped that Matthew is the cause of this lawsuit.”
We guess we shouldn’t expect a reunion tour anytime soon, huh ladies?

and also @ nicki….idk why ppl like you insist on being petty, dont hate on B’s talent what chu wrote doesnt even make sense just stop it.
its so annoying when ppl try to pin the DC3 girls against eachother everyone else in the world is fighting a battle that doesnt exist between them! kelly is not in competition with beyonce! they support eachother! kelly dosent say anything bad about B as a matter of fact she goes IN when interviewers talk shit about her and vise versa. ppl stop trying to create a drama or a jealousy cuz there is none. michelle and kelly are extremely talented girls which is why together they made the BADDEST girl group out there! i love me some kelly and michelle but if were gonna keep it real BEYONCE DID NOT NEED THEM TO BE A STAR! she doesnt have to be shady and her father didnt have to do no behind the back shit to boost her beyonce is the shit all by her self! if you read their autobiography the girls even stated in the book that in the begining Columbia only wanted beyonce! but she refused to sign without the other members and matthew had to negotiate the deal for the group! so please step ur facts up because if all that “beyonce favortism” shit was unnecessary matthew couldve just pushed B solo from JUMP there didnt ever need to be a destinys child beyonce would still be shutting it down…lets just hope this new album directiong bodes well for kelly so the world can stop sleeping on her cuz baby got pipes she just needs to get her solo formula right

I like it…its different for alicia keys…no piano for. Its a great dance track and the best part is the bridge. It’s a hit. I especially like the beat of the song. I’d like to see video to this song and live. I’m glad they didnt do a ballad, cuz it was expected from two powerhouses…which is the typical, so I’m glad dey did this uptempo. I’m really feeling this joint.

I personally like this song, I dont understand why people call this juvenille. I personally think music wise this is a great song with the dramatic tempo changes and different styles. You can clearly hear the two styles being mixed. You can hear the piano and the beats coming together, its a very abstract song…I’m sorry if your not feeling it. Im not sure what you were expecting, but this is a nice song. If no one else plays this song I will, bc I like both of these artist and I get both of their style from this song. Music has no limit you can have a song made of one word and it still be a song people sing for generations… This song is fresh new and catchy…its music!
