Usher Makes Fans Scream ‘OMG’ In Orlando

Published: Thursday 1st Apr 2010 by Trent

With his new promotional campaign in full swing, Usher has made yet another high profile appearance. The R&B superstar performed his new international single, ‘OMG’, for his fans at CityWalk in Orlando, Florida at the Ellen Degeneres-hosted event. The song has thus far peaked at #13 on the UK Singles Chart. Check out the performance below:

It seems that despite his claims to the contrary, Usher’s “swag” is still on pause. Compared to the high energy performances that her delivered with ease during the ‘Confessions’ campaign, many of Usher’s dance moves  now seem lethargic and uninspired, with his backup dancers doing most of the work. While many assumed that his recent slow down was attributed to weight gain, it is clear that the now slim Usher is still struggling to keep up. Is he simply lazy or has he truly lost his edge?

Thoughts?

Im not feeling this song at all, its just not usher. As far as his dancing goes, he still dances better than most performers anyway, but it’s probably down to age why he has lost his spark.

Lmao Trent what do you know about anything…he isn’t lethargic at all…He hit this performance harder than the Idol one. The opening sequence was hit harder than I’ve seen him do in quite awhile. After this foolish post, one questions if you actually know what you’re talking about. Stick to what you know bashing successful model-singers and keep your lame ass mouth closed when it comes to legends like Ush.

we want CHRIS BROWN to bring us fire…. ushers time is “OVER”

  7. jess April 1, 2010

    @ MOJO

Usher is good but he is NOT a legend. Sorry he just isn’t.

Prince ,MJ, Madonna, Janet, David Bowie, etc are legends. Let’s not get it twisted.

    @ GERONIMO

Last time I checked Chris Brown’s time was”OVER” too. Even without Chrihannagate, he would’ve fell off eventually. Usher, JT, CB can’t have careers forever with their MJ-mimicking dancing but no singing stage acts. That s*** would only get them so far.

Usher Baby. The Prince of Real R&B. R. Kellz the King. Good job Usher.

  10. DION-ISH April 1, 2010

    I THOUGHT I WAS PRETTY GOOD….

USHER HAS BEEN ON SOME MAJOR PROMO!

BUT ANYWAY HE’S A FAR BETTER DANCER, SINGER, PERFORMER THAN CHRIS BROWN, TREY SONGZ OR ANY OF THEM SOOOO THERES THAT…EVEN IF I DONT liKE HIS CuRRENT MUSIC, HIS PERFORMANCES USUALLY SPARK INTEREST.

    @ LISA

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE IS “UPPER AMAZING” ? LMAO GTFOH!!
JUSTIN SINGS LIKE A CHIPMUNK INHALING HELIUM. HE DOES NOT HAVE LASTING QUALITY. WHERE THE F*** IS HIS MUSICAL CAREER NOW. HE CAME OUT OF A HORRIBLY S***** BOY BAND THAT WAS HATED WITHIN THE INDUSTRY. HE SWAGGERJACKS WHILE TRYING TO MAKE IT SEEM ORIGINAL. HE ALSO DISRESPECTS LEGENDS (JANET, PRINCE) I DON’T HATE THE GUY BUT LET’S GET REAL. HE’S MORE CONCERNED WITH WINNING EMMYS NOW THAN PRODUCING MUSICAL EFFORTS.

P.S. WHERE WILL JT’S MUSIC CAREER BE 30 YRS FROM NOW.

Usher is no better than Chris at dancing. He has a different style. Now he looks lazy and completely sloppy when he dances. Both are over hyped. Lots of people can sing & dance, but doing both exceptionally is rare. As for your comments on Justin Timberlake…please put down the crack pipe. JT is a fake artist. He came from Nsync, who were a joke. He rides the wave of what’s “cool” and hops off when it’s no longer “beneficial” for him. Sorry, he’s still heavily manufactured. Let’s also not forget the embarrassing MJ-esque monstrosity of a debut solo performance at the MTV VMAs. Critics laughed him into a corner and he tried to deny the similarities, making himself look even more ridiculous. Then he agreed to a Rollingstone cover deeming him the *New King of Pop* which was B******* and highly disrespectful to his “idol” MJ. His MSG concert on Pay Per View had the lowest viewings of any PPV concert in history. Justin lacks character and he’s a p****. His post-Superbowl wardrobe malfunction behavior proved it.

    BORING

  16. G.LaSalle April 1, 2010

That performance was awesome. He did all that dancing and singing and still sounded good.

  17. algie April 1, 2010

even though i am not crazy about this song i love the energy he gives when performing the song.i am so happy for the success he is having with this cd

Usher isn’t that much better at dancing than Chris. They just have different styles. Besides, Usher looks lazy and sloppy when he dances nowadays. Lots of people can sing & dance, but doing both exceptionally is rare. As for your comments about Justin Timberlake…please put down the crack pipe. Justin is a fake artist. He came out of Nsync, who were a joke. He gets on board of what’s “cool” & then hops off when it no longer “benefits” him. Let’s not forget about that horrible MJ-esque monstrosity of a debut solo performance at the 2002 MTV VMAs. Critics laughed him into a corner & he denied the glaring similarities, making himself look even more ridiculous. He agreed to a Rolling Stone cover deeming him the “New King of Pop” which was highly two faced and disrespectful to his “idol” MJ. His MSG concert on Pay Per View had the lowest viewings of any PPV concert in history. That Cry Me a River video showed his pettiness & immaturity. He’s also a p**** (his post Superbowl wardrobe malfunction behavior proved it).

Im convinced Ciara is the last hope for entertainers….

  23. tolu April 2, 2010

@James you are such a hater. He was good and he is the still the best rnb singer in the game. Leave the guy alone!.

Great Cd! Great performance! Usher (king of R&b, Prince of Pop, Modern day legend) is about to surprise all of us this era. Can’t wait for this song Lil Freak, Hey Daddy to be huge! He should release Fooling Around, Guilty and So many girls as the next single and do a re release with more hit singles because Usher is about to make history.

P.S. I don’t think he will sell 370K or 400K, maybe even close to 500K! This CD will outsell Here I stand because I think people are really interested in him and his music this time around. I also think they like most of the material off this album.

TO ALL WHO HATE THIS ALBUM U ARE ALL CRAZY. There are songs that Have huge hit potential too! USHER still makes the best music compared to what everyone does today with that cheap auto tune. Usher owns all (CB, Trey, Ne-Yo, Justin Timberlake, etc.) overall and world wide!
