According to Fantasia‘s official website, the soulful singer will now release her new LP, ‘Back to Me’, on August 10th. Originally set to hit stores on July 27th, the slight delay is said to be so as to grant the album a better lead-in promotion-wise.
The video for the album’s first single ‘Bittersweet’ premiers on next Friday (June 25th).

While I’d actually prefer the album be pushed back until the start of season 2 of ‘Fantasia for Real’ (so as to maximise promotion), I can’t wait to hear it.

One word “Overload” that track is stellar! It’s just enough pop, church, and hip hop. I just have to be honest, Fantasia is a vocal beast! You have to respect her and give her credit. My only reservation with her is…her target market is not going to generate sales for her. If she would make a Blues/Jazz album and go that route! Ka Ching$$$$ Hell, that damn talentlessMichael Buble can sell 4 million, hell so can Fantasia. She really should give up on R&B. R&B will get you a top 10 first week but then your market is tapped!

Don’t get me wrong i love Fantasia but if her hit reality show still couldn’t get ‘Even Angels” off the ground I don’t know how her album is going to do. I wish her well though because she can really sing.

We’re saying the album is going to flop because the public doesn’t seem to be interested. Her first single Even Angels got MAJOR promotion. She was everywhere, on Oprah and all, and she had a reality show that was VH1′s biggest hits and she STILL couldn’t get any play off of that song. That is a sign that a flop is in the works. I’m sorry but that’s just how it is.

@Gucci I hate when people tell a story that they dont know even angels was never a official single it was a buzz single jus to let everyone know that she’s back with music please get your facts straight because u dont know what your talkin bout and bittersweet is doing very well on the charts it charted on like 6 different charts and her album aint gon flop because she havent even promoted the song but once which was on American Idol and see how its rising up the charts but i can say they need to promote a lil more cause its moving to slow
