The video for Alexandra Burke‘s new single ‘Start Without You’ premiered a few moments ago. Check it out below…

While the video, which sees the X-Factor alum serve up her trademark sass, is a commendable effort, it’s hard to play down the fact that it doesn’t necessarily capture the essence of the song as well as it could have. There’s no doubt the changing of the single’s release date from August to September was the catalyst for scrapping the original summer-esque video. Yet, watching this, has me thinking sticking with the first incarnation of the video may have been the way to go.

Love Alexandra she is such a talent….. a great voice, great performer and she’s got soo much attitude and sass (in a good way not in a cocky way!!!!)
Plus I have to say she is looking fine in this video. I wasn’t too sure of the song choice at first but it is a grower and is soo damn catchy. I hope this does well for her. She so far racked up two solo number ones, a solo number one album with her debut, one top and one top 5 hit here in the UK so the girls done well. I wish her continued sucess. She needs to tour soon… I will so be there.

It does NOT go with the song and that makes it seem like a mess – even though it’s alright.
I agree that her swag is on point but much of the video LOOKS LIKE AN ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE 2012 LONDON OLYMPICS L M A O with all the acrobatics and gymnastics!!
Such a waste of money…they should have stuck with the original video and used the money for promo!!!

Nice song, OK video. Alexandra has a beautiful voice. The vid kinda reminded me of Gaga’s “Alejandro” with the half naked dudes in the skin tight short shorts! Let’s great creative people! Leave the black and white back drop vids and let’s step outside the box!

@ FutureStarDeluxe and all other twats who regard the people that actually only LIKE Lady GaGa and her superior musical qualities and talents over shit from the Excrement Factor, as nothing but utter ‘Stans’ and ‘Little Monsters’… even if the ‘Start Without You’ video is actually very shit and does borrow heavily from ‘Alejandro’ (accidental or intentional) and does absolutely nothing but come across as a bunch of hairless gymnasts flexing and working out (clearly pop music isnt aimed at straight guys anymore) and the fact Alexandra’s lace outfit also borrows heavily from GaGa’s red one (minus the wig) which must obviousy mean I’m a ‘Little Monster’ or and ‘Stan’ for pointing this out…
Shut the fuck up. I like GaGa. I’m not a stan. And I most certainly am not one of her little monster whores.
You might wanna get a match to relight your fireworks right there…
