I think that it’s just a small fluxation with the ratings. I’m sure people are eager to see her start work on her new album. Right now it’s alot of focus on the DWTS competition. So, we’ll probably see the disappointment she has after being cut. I don’t even want to get started on that again!… Anyway, I love her friend Shayla. Ray J is the reason why the ratings have declined! I will always support Brandy and have tried my best to respect Ray J as her brother! I grown tired of his childish antics! His disrespect to Sonja was the last straw! Ray J acts as if he is on Usher or Chris Brown status when he has always been mediocre at best! Anyway people was to see Brandy’s return to music not Ray J’s! Also Shay is annoying as hell!!!!

What sets Brandy apart from the other Black female singers you listed is that NEITHER of them were nearly as successful as Brandy. Furthermore, Brandy can sing figure 8’s around every last one of them on her worst day. Brandy was an international superstar and NO ONE can take that from her.

I love this show. I tune in to AFB every week. But I really need to see more Brandy – especially Brandy in the studio. I mean Ray J is cool and Momma Sonja don’t play at all, but I really tune in to see how close Brandy is to finishing that album. Plus, something is up between Brandy and that DWTS Maks dude. I think that while we seem to get caught up in comparing ALL THE TIME, these different artist to the next artist, we lose sight of the REAL issues, and the true picture. The fact of the matter is, whether its, Brandy, Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, RIhanna, Ashanti, they are ALL known, loved, respected to and by someone, so to compare is really a waste of time. They all have something appealing about them and whether they are the “IT” girl at this time or not, they have all carved out a niche for themselves and they each have a lane. They can’t all be out receiving equal things at the same time and that’s okay too. If any of these ladys never EVER, did another single thing, hey would still have been blessed beyond most peoples dreams and know for their contributions (big or small) to the game. Ex: All of them have fans, fame, fortune, known status, are able to take care of self and family and give back to those not so fortunate, more importantly they are living their dreams. So when you REALLY weigh the benefits, they overshadow any negative or not so negative things that we on the “outside looking in” can see or say. Either way, they all are sucessful whether it was by singleness or group status, whether it was one song or a slew of songs. Let’s not compare but embrace the things that we like about them!

I have to say that Brandy is what I consider a QUALITY artist she sings from the heart and if you will the soul, she makes MUSIC! And as a result she has won awards and grammy- I think it’s unfair to stick her into a category with said “other” artists when clearly she’s talented.
