Ratings: 2024 Golden Globes Reel In Award Show’s Highest Viewership Since 2020

Due in part to its move to CBS from NBC, the 81st annual Golden Globe Awards aired Sunday night (January 7) and reeled in a whopping 9.4 million viewers.

For context, that’s 50% more over last year’s showing (which served as its all-time low).

Marking the Globes’ largest audience since 2020, the numbers delivered Sunday’s most-watched entertainment program overall.

And the wins don’t stop there.

The Koy-hosted affair also reached the largest livestreaming audience for any awards show across Paramount+ and other CBS platforms since the 65th annual Grammy Awards in February 2023.

They should probably thank Taylor Swift for the ratings boost.

Only since 2020? Doesn’t seem like much to brag about, especially considering last year was an all-time low and easy to beat.
