Jennifer Hudson hit the stage at the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy party last weekend. The thunderous singer performed both the 1st single from her upcoming ‘I Remember Me’ album, ‘Where You At’, as well as a tribute to Aretha Franklin with the song ‘(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman’.

Where You At is OKay but all she does is SCREAM on the whole damn song!! All she has is PIPES, Wheres the texture or Flavor in her voice?? Yeah she Spits (WHALES) out Decent Vocals but they still feel EMPTY & stagnant, shes sounds just like EVERY OTHER Church Walrus, & Aretha aint much better.
Seems like YELLifer Hudson is just trying to be the next STRAIN-Tina OFFKEY-Gorilla-ERROR. ~SAD

Her “Where You At” was much better than the one she did on Oprah. Her ‘Natural Woman’ was bit much. But where’s R. Kelly’s performance? R. Kelly received deafening buzz for his preGrammy performance yet everybody else’s video is being posted.
Not really caring for her single. I never like her songs anyway. She has to have an audience of a certain group and her voice is so different that she cant really sing fast up beat songs cause her voice sound old even though she is young. So they give her slow songs but who wants to hear those all the time. Well at least the could give her a nice slow song at least

Her live performances of this song are making me love this song. @S*** if she’s screaming, Beyonce does too @ times. Yes however Beyonce does have vocal texture other than “Screaming”, but i’m just saying.. I don’t understand what’s the problem she has always sang like this, it’s her vocal style.& even @ 3:02-3:08 she even showed vocal technique with that vibrato. She even showed her head voice bits. But, sometimes you have to know that it’s for some, some it’s not, everyone has their preferences.

Oh puleeez, I saw R Kelly’s performance. It was ok, typical Kels. Honestly he was much more prepared on Jimmy Fallon performance a month back than at the PGG. He did a fair bit of random adlibs and made it a bit disorganized. If Fallon performance was a 10, his PGG was a 7-7.5.

People stop all the hating. Jhud ant going to go away. The young multi-talented super star is just getting started. This lady has the talent of about four legends all mixed into one. Jennifer Hudson is both incredible and amazing as an artist. One of the best vocalist of our time.
I love her performances of the songs. This was good.
I saw the Kel’s performance on her youtube channel as well. He wasn’t as good as the Fallon performance as Truth pointed out. His runs weren’t as clear (and I dont mean the vid quality either, lmao!) and he did ad lib too much and made him meander all over the freakin stage. The ending belt was just a yell and scream and unclean runs, not nice at all. Whereas on Fallon it was done much sharper and clearer belt, not yelling.
Jennifer Hudson Is Simply The Best. This Performance is Amazing. I think we are so se to this soft RnB and alot of Techno, That u guys don’t see What True RnB really is.
