It’s ok, I think the Mary reference wasn’t necessary. The song is ok, Kim versus was cool. Rick Ross is ok. I guess she wanted to comeback with the mid-tempo’s since she killed the ballads. Overall though its ok.

Lil Kim’s verse is MOST DEF not on the level of someone who claims she still has THE CROWN. Kim’s verse is similiar to my Church Easter Speech I gave at 5 years old. Even her girl Missy or Monica couldn’t have her spit more bars? I’m thinking she did spit more bars but they only kept these twenty or so words on the record. Kim’s verse is not even cute, let alone on a level of a Queen. She needs to take notes from DaBrat on how to comeback on a feature or remix. Kim’s heart is just not into it this rap shit. It seems as though she raps for the money cos its her job, but she would rather be hobnobbing with the A-Listers in Hollywood like she tried to do when she first came out of the joint. Wow!!! I LOVE it!! The beat , the production & Monica slaayed with the vocals! I hear my girl Missy in the background too! I was so ready to hear her back on the music scene! Hopefully this is just a taste of what is to come!
I always thought she moved on past her last album pretty quickly. I mean she released two really successful singles & then announced she was gonna be working on a new album. It looks like she is gonna go with some more uptempo tracks with this album which I think is a good idea. Her last album was full of ballads.
Everyone & their mama is working with Rick Ross and I think they do it just for a hit but I like that his verse didn’t over shaddow Monica & she carried the song on her own. Kim’s verse wasa pretty good too, really short but good. It’s good to see someone gave her a job! Lol!

Thank You Monica & Missy for helping to usher in real R&B back to the forefront! I love Missy’s production cuz she knows what true R&B sounds like. Having said that, I dunno what the point in having Kim on this song was? 10 secs of what? I have a feeling this could be like “Let It Go” in the sense that Kim’s verse was originally longer but they cut it down. I wish Kim would flow how she used to like in “I Can Love You”. The style she did in 94 may not work in todays climate, Mary knows she has to stay current. By far this is what I needed! I have rocked out to Monica since 95 with one of those days so you know Im loving this. This song goes hard with the Biggie and Mary mix and Monica;s voice.
One thing I respect about MONICA is that she does not need to sellout in order to be a brand or more successful. She continues to make music that we all relate to and she keeps it urban. Thanks Monica for keeping us fans happy.
