Drake continues to whet appetites for his sophomore set ‘Take Care’, today cranking up anticipation with the release of the album’s official cover.
The Hip-Hop titan unveiled the regal shot on his blog, pairing it with the following:
Feels like it’s been so long. Is life moving so fast in this generation that when we desire something it begins to move in slow motion? Are we just used to getting what we want right away? Or do we require one another to feel right about all that is going on around us? Maybe our anticipation is justified by the fact that we genuinely cannot wait to share a moment again? Either way, your life and mine are scheduled to meet on October 24…I wouldn’t miss it for the world.

The cover looks…interesting. Everyone wants those holiday sales as usual so the release date doesn’t necessarily surprise me. It’ll be interesting to see how all of these “artists” releasing around the same time end up fairing on the charts though.

Btw, I don’t see the explicit content sign on the cover, so he probably doesn’t curse in the album at all!!This would be interesting with a talented rapper, but with Drake it’s probably going to be just an attempt at a clean album that the kids can buy too.

He looks like the jewish version of Scarface/Godfather or someone. Also, trying to be “deep” & “philosophical” does not equate to brilliance… Especially if the “musings” are so… (Trying to find a word that fits…) Trite? Shallow? Idk…
I like it as an album cover.. It’s old school in a way that it gives the viewer a bit of “LOCATION” such as Aaliyah’s “One In A Million” cover and countless others. It makes me feel a classic vibe and gives you more to go on in reference to the artist’s personality, their frame of mind when recording the album, and the tone of the final album. Let’s hope the music goes along with the visual.
SN: Drake looks rather sad sometimes (like here) and creates some mellow almost depressing music to boot. You may say it’s just an album cover, but I think everything can be seen as more.

@KNUCK Such an amazing Aaliyah picture.I have the album, but it’s the re-release, so I don’t have that pic.Aaliyah was a stunning woman.HOWEVER, the subway is different to the church.When a hip hop artist decides to shoot the cover in a church, then the content has to match the photo and I doubt that Drake is going to talk about God and religion in the album.Also, Aaliyah’s picture is not as incredibly low budget as Drake’s.Just saying…
