After enjoying commendable success on the Billboard 200 with latest LP ‘I Remember Me‘, Oscar winning performer Jennifer Hudson has confirmed the title of the album’s third single.
Following the singles ‘Where You At?‘ and ‘No One Gonna Love’, the upcoming release’s title was revealed during an interview with ABC.
Find out what it is below…
‘I GOT THIS‘
One of the more radio friendly releases from the LP, it is clear that Camp Hudson are hoping ‘I Got This‘ will not only enjoy a much higher chart position than that of its R&B centric predecessors but also help pull its supporting album back into the top 40.

It’s so good that she’s getting another single. “Gone”, also needs to be a single as well.

Well, it’s great that she’s getting to release a 3rd single. That means that her label believes in her.I hope they don’t actually think this single will help the album sell much more.It may climb back up to a respectable chart position (top 100 I suppose), but no huge resurgance is possible.

Is her team on crack?? They keep choosing all the wrong singles!
Here’s how they should’ve done it:
Buzz Single: Don’t Look Down (that’d connect well with Urban Adult Contemporary stations)
Lead Single: Gone (she could really crossover into the pop stations without sacrificing vocal quality)
2nd Single: Angel
3rd Single: I Remember Me (again, I could see some pop stations playing this)
Where You At and I Got This are the weaker songs on the album!

I agree with Dequan. Based on the first two singles, I thought J-Hud’s whole album sucked (without having heard the whole album). But I actually liked the songs Dequan recommended.

Not bad, but not my cup of tea. I think the chorus throws it off for me.

love the cd but ‘gone’ should have been the next single…its the most current and radio friendly ….’i got this’ is so regional {being about chicago} that it isn’t universal enough for mainstream radio…i don’t see it being the new “New York”….
thats still my cousin and i support her all day everyday

I Got This is such a great message, especially for me as I suffer from so much self doubt, it’s good for me to say to myself ‘I got this’ – this is how much Jennifer inspires me.

She should have chosen I Remember Me…but then again the song is a bit on the pop side and would not connect with her R&B fans…SIGH
Back to the drawing board.

@ Hang it up.. the negativity of folks escape me – crabs in a barrel keep putting down people who are doing positive things with their lives and working on their careers.
As for the single, although I think DON’T LOOK DOWN would’ve been a better choice, I GOT THIS has an uplifting message so maybe it’ll connect with people.
