Jennifer Lopez‘s dead and buried ‘LOVE?’ project is being raised from the ashes with new single ‘Papi’.
The high-octane cut and its accompanying video has amassed millions of views online – just days after being made available; success the singer will be hoping translates on iTunes and radio. So as to give it the push it needs, Lopez and her troop of dancers performed the song during her iHeartRadio set last night – with mixed results.

Though boasting her trademark sass, as well as all the trills and frills, the performance left me neither shaken nor stirred. The choreography was, for the most part, lacking – and where present, unpolished. Like really, who choreographed this? Because…no.

I LOVED it.Her energy was amazing and she actually sang 80% of it live!!It was a great performance.I’m glad she is finally promoting!!

she’s a good performer, she’s 42 and these birds half her age dont have have half the stamina she has on stage. i do agree the choreography wasnt all that but she’s an intricate dancer; it doesnt matter how basic the moves are, its how u make it look. Her body is fluid and she does a fantastic footwork

I suspect your petty criticism is done to get a reaction of of us….and in my case you’ve succeeded! In addition to performing better than those half her age J Lo has produced her best album in a decade, reached No. 1 with On The Floor and reinvigorated her singing career. You constantly berate artists solely based on sales when quality of music is surely what counts most. While J Lo is never going to be an important artist in R&B she has at times produced some credible work so deserves more credit and not to be written off on the abritary basis of sales. Music matters to me NOT sales!
She did a great job. She’s very sensual with her dancing. This is her first time performing it so perhaps she just wanted to put it out there to see where to take it from here. She was amazing. Great job. She sung good to. The passion and energy was all there. Nice job. The choreo will come.

I don’t know, Sam. Ever since J Lo fell on stage during that Louboutin performance, she seems to be playing it safe now when it comes to dancing. Otherwise she used to be good. Awful vocals by the way. Last thing we need is another Rihanna.

@AISHA I get what you’re saying, but I don’t think that’s it.She did the SAME choreo of ‘Louboutins’ on a TV show AFTER the AMAs performance where she fell and she danced her damn ass off on American Idol for ‘On The Floor’.She slayed that choreo!!I don’t know why Sam is moaning tbh.I respect his judgement most of the times, but he’s so fickle.I think she refused to do an interview with them or something 😳 The reason why she doesn’t seem to do intricate choreos is because her songs don’t have an intense drum pattern or a really storng rhythm that can be made into a strong choreo.She had to add a breakdown to ‘On The Floor’ to do choreo because club songs are never good for the hardcore hip hop choreo that Sam is probably expecting from her.She did very well for the ‘Get Right’ choreo and that was before ‘Papi’ so she can still dance well 😎

Jlo killed Papi fool. I’d rather have a show where someone sings strong and beautiful than just dance their ass off to a pre-recorded song (insert your Fav here). She sang beautifully and smacked haters in the face who say she don’t have the voice.
Some female singers need to go to Jlo and ask for tips on how to look young because others younger than her are getting tweaked and pinched and STILL look older than her.

@BEY FAN She had a backing track, but some parts were defintely live.She lost her breath once in the performance and said “pa” instead of “papi”, so some of it was live.I think she did 60-70% of it live.
Her performance was weak.
I think she did great. She had live vocals and the energy was great. The performance was better on On The Floor, but Papi was still really good too.
