Monica fans are being doubly treated this week. While Monday saw the diva visit 106&Park to premiere the visual for her Rick Ross-assisted single ‘Anything (To Find You)’, now Mrs. Brown has unveiled ‘Until It’s Gone’. Released moments ago via her official website, the piano driven ballad sees the singer sampling the late soul songstress Phyllis Hyman‘s ‘I Don’t Wanna Lose You’.

The song, as stated by the diva herself, is simply a leak to whet appetites and is not guaranteed to lead ‘New Life’ (due November 29th). Even so, this song showcases the Monica fans have grown to know and love – sass, simplicity, and heartfelt vocal delivery. If this song was to lead the album, it would be Mo sticking to her tried-and-true formula, as ‘So Gone’ and ‘Everything To Me’ both (slow to mid-tempo jams) ushered in two of her most successful albums to date.

Great song!She definetely showcases her vocal ability here.’Anything To Find You’ got really boring after a month or so, but this one sounds much better.I hope her lead single will be something along the lines of this one.I love it when Monica uses cleae soul and blues influences to create a ballad.

Ummmm Not so much. I applaud Monica’s recent success(managing to go gold and all), but she stays in a lane that doesn’t see her reach any new growth in her artistry. To compare her to Brandy or Aaliyah even, overall would be cruel because she was the only artist in the bunch that displayed the least amount of creativity. The other 2 branched out and accomplished so much more on different levels. We don’t even need to bring up their numbers in sales. It just seems like much won’t be changing with Brandy doing 90210 & Drop dead Diva and more(along with a new album coming up soon).

Anyway, in other matters this song is nice. I wasn’t really feeling “Anything” that much, and this one a bit better. Nothing amazing, but it’s ok, much better than her previous song. This song does a better job showcasing mo’s vocal ability. I like the verses. The chorus is a little bland, but her F5′s kinda make up for it.

I swear I love this song already, it’s beautiful and the piano does it SOOO much justice.
When I heard the first single ‘Anything to Find You’ I wasn’t happy at all, I still don’t like the song. But THISSSS >>>>>>>>>> She done did it again! I almost thought she lost it. I’m anxious to hear the entire album now! Amazing what ONE song can do.
Although im really feeling the song, I will admit Monica is kinda milking the cow dry with all of her sampling. Not trying to single her out or anything because she isn’t the only one who smaples now a days, but first it was Evelyn Champagne King, Then Biggie, Now Phyllis Hyman, I hope the album has more new or ‘original’ material per say besides a bunch of samples, but don’t get me wrong, she always does it justice.
Love Monica either way, and she’s releasing the album around Thanksgiving, her team knows what they are doing. What did ‘Still Standing’ sell like 180k first week? I see this album doing better definitely. She just needs to either release this as a single, or release something else because that ‘Anything to Find You’ is not cutting it …. like at all.

I really love this song. It’s real R&B music and I’m glad that not everyone is hopping on the bandwagon and doing dance music. I also love the fact that I think I hear Jazmine Sullivan doing some background vocals. The song is amazing #truth.

I love Monica && I Love this . She is pure R&B and will never change. My fav artist.
Now ….are we honestly going back and forth between Monica and Brandy? first off …as we all know ;; their fued is over –so why are yall still putting emphasis on it ? People are trying to discredit Brandy & people are trying to discredit Monica, and for what??? Both are great! Let’s not forget that they did each other a favor by doing that duet together.
Oh and it is true that Brandy is named as an influence to many of these artists out today. Rihanna said ‘good girl gone bad’ was influenced by brandy, she listened to brandy everyday while recording the album. I read that Chris brown likes brandy and told her he likes songs from her that haven’t even been officially released…He listens to her leaked songs! Jazmine sullivan has talked about her in a few interviews.
And of course Monica gets credit for being one of the “realest b**ches in game’ lol, two people who have come a long way and have a supportive friendship.
