For some reason or another, the last decade has seen ‘Case Of The Ex‘ singer Mya struggle to find her footing on the ever changing terrain that is Pop music.
Heralded by many as being one of music’s more promising stars, this week saw the release of her latest attempt to generate a buzz for her upcoming project.

Had it been released by the likes of Alexsia Byrein, this jam would have been great.
However, seeing as this was put out by a woman who was supposed to be ‘the Janet of her Generation‘, there is no way anyone can defend this joke of a song.
Embarrassing on both a lyrical and production front, ‘Come Get This Bitch’ is without a doubt the final nail in the coffin that is Mya’s unfortunate career.
A sonic shame indeed.

Keep it real, folks, Mya doesn’t have a gigantic fanbase, if she releases music now, she might as well get some $$$ from it. And yes, the only way to get some is to release club anthems.
Mya was never a frontrunner in her category. Aaliyah was then Christina Millian (at some point). Don’t get mad at her, you don’t pay her Loubis.
This was def a homage to her track “Whatever B****” and it’s a lot of better tracks on the album. Listen to the preview before you do all this ranting.

This is terrible. But sadly, the more I listen to it….the more I like it. I’ll definitely save this one for when some B**** rolls up on me in the club the wrong way.
For her sake, maybe this is a uncompleted version because the production is beyond horror. I feel sorry for Mya because she has so much talent, but it’s not being harnessed correctly. At this point, I think her career for a comeback is done.

LOL, it’s sort of catchy but Mya is FARRRRRRR better than this. I doubt that this is a single though, probably just a ‘have fun in the studio’ type of track. What happened to her releasing “Sugar & Spice” in the US? Wasn’t that song with Sean Paul supposed to be the first single? The week after it was released there was NEVER anything else said about the project. Story of Mya’s life at this point…:( so sad but true. Soooo much potenial.

Mya is an irrelevant b**** who is not that great of a singer! I can’t stand her because she’s fake and does’t have her own identity! This dumb b**** always switches up her style of music and image when a hot trend comes out! She has no money and isn’t with a good label and you can tell because the quality of this song is terrible! It sounds like she recorded it in her bathroom.
First off personal opinions should be cut from the blog, music is subjective and your ‘readers’ won’t all feel the same way as your ‘wanna be’ music critic opinion.
Second, the song isn’t that bad, production, although minimal, is hard hitting. If it was Gaga over the same beat it would have been praised.
I think Mya is trying different things and different genres and I commend her for that!

i dont think it was absolutely horrid but not that great especially with the production …she tryed something different and somewhat current i think if it didnt sound so cheap (mainly the production again) that it would prob be a success in this day and time
