Album campaigns can (and often do) lead acts to the randomest of places. Case, point, example Mary J. Blige‘s push for new LP ‘My Life II’, which saw the singer turn up on WWE Tribute to the Troops last night.

MARY FLOP BLIGE NEEDS TO HANG IT UP WITH THIS PROJECT…
I love love love me some MJB and I will ride with her til the end but she needs to really think carefully about her single choices. Her last three CDs have been plagued by poor single choices that in no way reflect the content of the album. My Life II is a masterfully crafted effort but 25/8 and Mr. Wrong are not the brightest examples of what one can expect. This CD really does see Mary return to the sound that made her a household name. In truth, this CD could have very easily been the sequel to What’s the 411. She does stay on her promo grind so hopefully the next few months will see further video releases and an uptick in award show performances and sells. Fingers crossed…
Certain songs are appropriate for certain events. I think her prmo team know what they doing
