What a tangled web Hip Hop Royal Lil Kim continues to weave for herself.
For, after spending the last year and a half trying to claw her way back into the public eye following her war of words with Pop Princess Nicki Minaj, she is now facing criticism from her very own fans.
Fans, who accuse her of putting her friendship with boxer Floyd Mayweather before the release of the new material she had promised them at the end of 2011.

Nearing the end of last year, the entertainer revealed the release of a yet to be titled EP,which she told fans would become available to them at the start of this year, 2012.
Building buzz for the project with the well received cut ‘I Am Not The One‘ and this promotional image, many of her loyal supporters were led to believe that the New Year would see confirmation of the EP’s release date and news with regards to her current label situation.
Unfortunately for them, today saw reports emerge which revealed that she is now putting all those plans on hold to dedicate her time to support Mayweather, who is currently facing jail time for allegedly assaulting the mother of his children right in front of them back in September.
Of course, this came much to the contempt of Jones’ fan base who took to the social networking site Twitter to air out their feelings with some of the following:

Far be it for me to defend Lil’ Kim… but just because she’s at court supporting someone doesn’t mean that she’s putting her record on hold. She’s been talking about a new album since 09′ , all she does is talk. Y’all haven’t heard any new music from this woman in over 5 years, and the first thing she comes back with after that weak Download track is a diss record and a diss mixtape that she made y’all pay $10 for. Then lies about the success of her mixtape. Then continues to just talk . Meanwhile Nicki is going double platinum, snatching awards, tv appearances , magazine covers, makeup deals, movie deals, grammy nominations, etc… Kim promised y’all an EP for the holidays, the holidays are over.
