R&B trier Cassie has today unwrapped the video for comeback single ‘King of Hearts’.
With its synchronized Valentines launch (video, radio, iTunes) hyped up to the nines, it begs the question of whether the release lives up to the hype.

Granted the industry has never been fair nor one which rewards the “most talented”, videos, songs, and artists such as Ms. Ventura irk me to no end.
Clearly talent challenged, she’s spent the last 6 years cooking up this “epic” new sound, only to serve up more of the auto-tuned same. Talking over a generic Dance beat, while touching herself and taking off her clothes. Many a stripper has done the same – and better.
Begging the question of just why she even has a deal. The answer to which quickly becomes apparent upon consideration of her label – Bad Boy.
This is one Valentines gift she could have kept.

It’s Amazing…I got the vibe right away
Nothing special. If you think about it, it’s by no means a bad video, but it relies so heavily on merely smoke and mirros that it does indeed become quite frustrating. Honestly, in most of the scenes you can’t even see the girl’s face!! All we get is a slim figure and long hair…The song has a nice vibe which the video sells well, but still it’s just blatantly obvious that the star of the video is a cookie cutter, stereotypical hot girl feat. editing, good camera angles and a wind machine rather than Cassie…
The song is okay but she didn’t bring anything new on the table.
l love the song,if it was perry and goat,some motf will be screaming “hit” just because they know the big machine to bring it to the top40 is behind.

I see she’s traveling down Rihanna’s path. Needless to say, this song is a HIT! If Rihanna was doing this song it would be a #1 hit, and EVERYBODY knows it. But I remember Cassie as this s*** chick that COULD DANCE. Just like Rihanna she was doing that with her first album and two videos. NOW that she’s making DANCE type music, she ISN’T DANCING. What type of fuckery is that? I’m not getting it. She cute to look at, but I urn for me. Hopefully she’ll take my tweet into consideration and bring out a dance version of the video.

@JER You sound like you have something against black women, why? The song is okay honestly if rihanna’s we found love were to be compared to this i think people would still favor we found love. Cassie is beautiful the video looked like an extended trailer, but i honestly think the only reason people like Cassie is cause of her looks.
