Ashanti Visits 106 & Park; Reveals Duets With R. Kelly & Keyshia Cole

Published: Wednesday 14th Mar 2012 by Sam

Ashanti continued her comeback campaign yesterday, stopping by BET’s 106 & Park to premiere the video for ‘The Woman You Love’.

Beyond showcasing the “interesting” visual, the former INC singer dished on the track’s housing album, ‘Braveheart’. And while she was keen to talk up the LP in the way of sound, experience and the like, she remained coy about its surprise guests.

However, ever keen to pour you that Lipton, we’ve got the names.

Interview and details after the jump…

One can’t but gravitate to her personality; a fact which makes the “so-so” of her new single that much more frustrating. For, holistically speaking, Ms. Douglas has the fortunate/unfortunate position of stepping the vocals, performances, and presence at a time when the masses kinda sorta aren’t bothered.

That said, we do feel persistance and strong(er) material could easily aid her comeback cause. Material our friends over at The Boombox say she has this go round.

Attending a recent listening session for ‘Braveheart’, Box confirm that R. Kelly joins the singer on a standout track titled ‘That’s What We Do’, while fellow songstress Keyshia Cole appears on ‘Woman To Woman’.

Will the extra help do the trick for the LP which hits stores next month? Time will tell…

Your thoughts?

2017 has brought with it projects from some of today’s top titans – such Drake, Ed Sheeran, and Kendrick Lamar. Yet, this year is noteworthy on another front. Namely, the lengthy list of releases celebrating their 15th (yes 15th) anniversary. As the age adage goes: time flies. And, in reminiscing on the following,… Read More
