Yes, for whatever reason, Lil Kim has always struggled to get along with other Female Rappers.
In fact, barring Missy Elliott- who is responsible for putting the MC on the Pop classic ‘Lady Marmalade’- Kim has gotten into it with almost every Femcee she has been linked with.
So it didn’t surprise us when New York native Azealia Banks spoke out against her last week, hinting she had been disrespected by the Rap icon.
Now, Kim’s rep has slammed Lady GaGa‘s management company (who also manage Banks) over the matter, accusing them of manufacturing the feud for publicity.

In an official press release, CJ Carter explained:
Earlier today a press release went out making a claim that there was friction between Hip Hop Icon “Lil Kim” and aspiring hip artist azealia banks. The release comes as a surprise to our team,being that my client and azealia have NEVER spoke to one another or met AT ALL.
Kim was actually very flattered azealia’s public admiration for her, which is why it’s so hard to understand how someone who claims to be a true Lil Kim fan could flip the script so easily on someone who was supposedly their idol.
It is also VERY interesting that NO ONE from her team made any attempts to reach out to anyone from our team to voice any concerns or problems that they may have had.
I have NEVER heard of anyone having a conflict with someone they have NEVER met with or personally spoke with.
We have no idea what they are referencing and have no desire to discuss the matter any further as there is nothing to talk about.
It honestly seems that someone from Azealia’s team would rather have her fans buy into manufactured drama instead of buying music.
Kim knows nothing of any beef, and furthermore has had nothing but nice things to say about her. We don’t know what this is and will not address this any further.
It seems that this is another sad attempt by someone trying to use my client for publicity. We wish her nothing but the best.
This follows a tweet by a member of Kim’s entourage who accused That Grape Juice of fabricating the story once we had broken it . He has since been forced to retract his statement once it was confirmed to be true.
When it to comes Azealia Vs Kim- the whole thing is a steaming pile of mess.
For, it is quite clear that that Team Kim do not own a calendar. Because if they did, they would know the year is 2012 and not ’96 and would see that if anything- it is Kim who is in dire need of free publicity.
Here’s hoping Banks takes to Twitter to explain what really went down, as we’re sure Carter’s story is just as fictitious those millions Jones claims to be rolling in.

Kim is/has always been at the top of her legue. And with fame, fortune, and her iconic celebrity status, of course there are going to be haters. At the end of the day, Unfortunately beef is going to sell and get more press as opposed to praise or female unity. It’s a business. A lucrative one, too.
You all forgot that Kim had that ‘Ladies Night’ track which was HUGE, which had all the hottest female rappers collaborating. Plus she’s best friends with Missy Elliott, recently went on tour with Trina, plus was the first to have her name in a Number #1 spot on the Billboard charts, with three other chicks in ‘Lady Marmalade’.
Team Kim was starting to really embrace Azealia, because she regularly payed hommage to Lil’ Kim, but I don’t know where this allegation of feuding has come from.. Saying Kim’s name, tryna’ get her shit to sell.
Why is it that all the Boys in the game can rock together, but the chicks have always got to hate? It’s a shame.

How many artists do you know have made songs with Jay, Kanye, Eminem, Britney, Mariah Carey, & MADONNA! She performed at the Super Bowl & the Grammys, she has 2 #1 albums under her belt & endorsement deals with Mac, Opi, Adidas, & Pepsi not to mention an up and coming clothing line & fragrance. She’s the only female to have 7 songs on the Billboard charts at the same time & she’s the only female rapper to have a #1 album in the UK.
