For, fresh off the release of her online smash ‘Bad Girls’, she has inked a deal with Jay Z‘s Roc Nation.

Set to release her forthcoming LP under the label, MIA’s signing marks the latest venture the folks over at ROC have embarked on within the last four years.
In 2008, the group picked up Brit song bird Rita Ora and allegedly signed Colombian icon Shakira in the earlier part of this year, adding to their already extensive roster which includes Rihanna, Melanie Fiona and ‘Who Dat’ maestro J.Cole.
To date, MIA has scored three US Dance Top 20s by way of ‘Paperplanes‘, ‘Jimmy’ and ‘Boyz’, launching her own label ‘N.E.E.T Recordings‘ under Universal Music in 2008.
Later this year, she will release the official ‘Bad Girls’ remix with confirmed features from Azealia Banks, Rye Rye and Rap icon Missy Elliott.

WTF is Jay thinking? I for one am not checking for MIA. First Rick Ross signs that arrogant queen Omarion now Jay signs the dyke who had the nerve to flip the bird during the Queen of Pop’s Superbowl performance. uh… i don’t usually resort to name calling, but i will call a spade a spade if i have to. to that end, you’re a moron. madge’s performance at the superbowl was a hot pile of garbage (much like her latest album) and had mia NOT flipped the bird nobody would have even been discussing it the next day. it was a NON event. besides, everyone knows that madonna is THE stunt queen. i wouldn’t be surprised if off the record she asked mia to do it.
mia is a global superstar with 2 artistically brilliant albums under her belt (the last one blew hard).
and the dyke comment… really? shes only been romantically linked with men and i’m fairly certain based on her personality that if she were a big ole les she would just come out and be done with it, cause mia doesn’t give a fuck.

I hope they handle her well. ‘Bad Girls’ was hot (props to Danja for the beat) and it had all the makings to become a minor hit, but there was no promo, so I hope she’s treated better by ROC. Maybe bring back the hotness that was ‘Bucky Done Gun’??
P.S : ROC Nation should also promote Melanie Fiona. She has many potential urban hits on the album, but 2 months after its release, there’s still no official 3rd single!!
