Breaking from the beach parties and reality shows, Aubrey O’Day has finally remembered her singing day job.
Case, point, her newly released take on Gotye‘s gargantuan hit ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’.
Take a listen to the Danity Kane diva’s remix below…
Admittedly miffed at the success of such a “basic” song, it was inevitable that Aubrey’s “refix” would do little to change that for us. Nonetheless, it’s great to see her “back at it”. For, during her bid to stay “relevant”, she’s made it increasingly difficult to decipher if she’s been pursing tabloid notoriety or an actual and sustainable music career.
Hopefully it’s the latter, as she posses talent that could see her become a plausible successor to the brand of femme fatale established by Britney Spears (pardon the pun).

That’s because this bitch is busy doing reality TV shows instead of promoting herself.

its like i know she is talented but i havent seen her best yet. i feel at this point of her career she needs to show she is more that a reality star or a scantily clad singer.

I’m so over you guy championing this girl every time she half heartedly puts out a song. She only does it when the attention has gone from her public TV appearances. When will you realise. Much like Cassie she hates singing it just keeps her relevant outside of the photo shoots.
Stop celebrating this girls uncreative musical efforts just because she has a big mouth and a sassy demeanor. You can’t complain about Rihanna and beg for this chick to get on the music scene. At least Rihanna seems to have some sort of creative direction.

I don’t think its bad at all.
Obv its not ‘her’ song! Also I like how instead of just covering the song how she changed up some of the lyrics to sorta give the song a different meaning/feel.
Sadly I think Universal/SRC dropped her or her deal fell through, but if she had a major label she could go places with propper promo.
