I agree some artists aren’t songwriters but I know within the industry songwriting/producing is important to the artists (they can maintain more control, and make more money, etc.)The public shouldn’t really care about the “inner workings” but for some reason , this type of stuff has become ALL the talk on these blogs over the last few years. So has chart placement, lip synching, etc.
I say just enjoy the music and don’t worry about all that as a consumer. That’s the label and artists concerns. I think the industry actually started this whole chart placement, sales talk because that’s how they build their stars now, with titles and breaking records. Then folks online began to think that was the MOST important thing.
