The X Factor 2012 saw its 2nd set of eliminations tonight. Find out who’s heading home this week…
After registering the lowest public vote of the contestants, District 3 and Melanie Masson were two acts put on the chopping block.
The weekly sing-off proceeded with District 3 taking to the stage first singing Bryan Adams’ ’(Everything I Do) I Do It For You’, with Melanie following – singing Lorraine Ellison’s ‘Stay With Me’.
In the end, it was District 3 who were granted a pass onto next week’s show, after the judges became tied on who to save. The act’s fate was then reverted back to the public vote – which revealed Melanie to have the lowest support – ultimately sending her home.
The X Factor continues on ITV1 next Saturday.

Pretty much stopped watching this show after Cheryl and Simon left. Watched part of the last season but it was mostly shit. Can’t stand Tulisa.

Happy with the decision, Melanie was never going to be a star, plus she doesn’t really sing, she shouts a lot. Good decision.
I’m also so happy my fav’s in the competition (Union J and Jade Ellis) are safe.

Melanie should’ve stayed. Gary wont be happy at losing a second person already.
