For every ‘Fame‘ bottle purchased now through Sunday, Macy’s will donate $10 to the singer’s ‘Born This Way Foundation’- launched to both inspire and empower youth, in association with Harvard University.
Ending midnight on the 25th, the promotion marks the latest philanthropic effort made by the ‘Stache’ star, following her donation of $1 million to the Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund.

She’s basically saying:
if you buy my expensive perfume which is more than ten dollars EVEN when discounted, ill donate ten dollars to my OWN charity at which I control the FUNDS. She’s still making money from the sales which will go to her pocket and could decide to use the money to fund her construction site sounding music.

Now that you put it that way,it just made me think how the word ”CHARITY” lost meaning in hollywood.tbh its profitable to be charitable…looking good at a charity event red carpet is charitable,auctioning your clothes for charity is charitable,promoting your new music at a charity event is charitable too…others like jay-z donate $6000 only to their own foundations when they make millions annually but as long as you run a foundation,that means you are charitable

I love this woman, she does as much as she can for charity and people always try to find faults in everything, can’t they just be happy for what she’s doing? People are so negative and she’s so great. She’s got a massive heart, she’s not telling to people buy the perfume so they can give to charity because that’s not how the human mind works, if people buy the perfume then money will be donated, she’s not forcing anyone to do buy anything. The money is also not going to her, it is going to the organisation which she and many others will help to decide how the money will be used, so therefore it will be beneficial. It will eventually be used to help stop bullying; she’s just trying induce equality, how can you hate on someone for that? I don’t understand what she’s doing wrong and how “she’s abusing the word ‘charity’”.
