      I know I loved it and that L.A.D screen was breath taking! In fact I lived for this hole show. This is the shit that goes down in History as mind blowing. Kanye at this point is so ICON and so high up that other rapper ant touching him as far as Visuals and shows go!

        WHO ( from TODAY’s ALIVE singers, NOT artists from 1928 ) can PERFORM LIVE better than BEYONCE?

        Oh, and I know it’s HARD for you to understand but . . . SHE DANCES, doesn’t shake her ass.

        Dancing: is moving your body FROM HEAD TO TOE to the rhythm of a song, and BEYONCE does just that. She DANCES, and even has “Best Choreography” noms and wins to prove that.

        What makes her so special as a performer is that she’s got the full package.

        Whitney Huston, Mariah Carey and other legends sure beat her at singing, but do they beat her at dancing?

        And I’m NOT trying to say they needed to learn how to dance, but do they?

        Ciara, Janet and Usher (maybe) are better dancers, but do they beat her at singing?

        No, she beats all of them combined. Watch her “Beautiful Ones/Sex on Fire” performance at 2011 Glastonbury, which drove Caleb (of Kings of Leon) to masturbate to his own song.

        Again : she is the full package, and that’s something you can’t find any of these artists mentioned above.

        BTW, she might not have a song that screams “I Am Legend”, but has a bunch of songs that scream “I Am An Icon”.

    Wow! Im so impressed. I love the screen cinematography effect. Kanye did well. He gets a standing ovation for the results of the night from me. I only wish Rihanna can learn all this with the stage effects like Kanye and Bey. The only thing missing from the night was an appearance by Rih to sing the Diamonds part of HER song live. I woulld give another standing ovation.

      But I don’t see how “Pour It Up” getting radio release have anything to do with BEYONCE’s new single. :roll:

        Pour it up is already billboard bubbling under at number 10 and we all know rihanna songs do better on pop radio than beyonce, plus, her songs stay in the charts for months. So that will fuck up beyonce. Rih is now the bigger black star between the two, and TTT outsold 4, it now on course to be certified 4 million. and 4 had not a single hit. So rh has prevented beyonce from doing what she really wants and that is dominating the charts. She scraped 2 million with her last album and that mainly came from the USA.     I know this may be hard to understand for all of you fans of the RATCHET nonsensical blunders of today’s “artists” but Kanye is a true ARTIST, using life to express himself. Michael Jackson, Madonna, & Prince all understood that as well which is why they are ICONS! Kanye is on his way to that status as well because he is passionate and is always being creative and inventive. This is genius. I love it. Keep it up Kanye! That setlist was perfection BTW!

      Beyonce isn’t an icon and awards, commercial success, etc isn’t what makes you an icon.

      “WHY would she be KNOWN AS the top performer of this genration?” With “performers” like Rihanna, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, etc that isn’t much. It isn’t like it was in the 90s when there were people like Janet, Michael, Prince, Madonna, Freddie, etc…..who were all amazing performers competing against one another. Beyonce is a great performer but her peers (with the exception of Gaga and a few others) suck as so it really isn’t much. Another view point is that Rihanna is the single’s queen of the generation but she isn’t an icon or a legend.

      That’s what makes you a legend? Its very much an AWARD not an actual certification of a legend. There is no way to name someone a legend only their timeless music, impact, innovation, and barrier testing, as well as longevity is what makes them a legend. You don’t hand-pick legends and award them, the stuff I mentioned above is what makes them legends.

      WHERE!!? WHEN?!?! HOW?!? The “undisputed Queen of POP” is Madonna and if that was disputable (which it isn’t), it would be Janet Jackson. That is a huge stretch, leap, reach, and more. What has she done? Who has she impacted in the sense that its transcended time and other obstacles? How was she innovative or creative?

        A musical icon is a representation of a genre or a type of music or an involvement/evolution. Like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is an icon for the Civil Rights movement.

        Mariah, Celine, and Whitney are legends and icons because they represent the “big-voiced diva” movement of the 90s and a transcending genre blend of R&B inspired vocalists (Mariah); gospel influenced pop blend (Whitney), and a traditional adult contemporary pop (Celine). All these ladies are ICONS and representatives of what a vocalist is, and a big voiced pop diva. When someone says this person had such a powerful voice, you think Whitney; when a person says this person has an insane range, you think Mariah and so forth. They are a representation of that genre and style and moment in music history.

        Yes, Freddie could as well as Prince, Tina Turner, Madonna, etc. She sets no type of standard for performance the way Tina Turner, MJ, Prince, etc did. She’s great at it but she brings NOTHING new to the table.

        She is ONE of the best entertainer of today along with Gaga and such, however she ISN’T one of the best entertainers of all time, there is a difference. Her singing is good but nothing spectacular and the same goes with dancing. She is highly praised today because of how very little people can do all that she does on stage but you cannot place her amongst the BEST of the BEST on the ALL time list.

        No she isn’t, she didn’t keep anything alive. R&B is dying out much like Disco died out and much like the Urban/Hip-Hop influence pop died out.

        If it makes you feel any better though, Beyonce is defiantly a talented lady (more talented than her peers) who has a lot of potential and I feel that if she REALLY pushed herself in terms of her dancing, MUSIC, ARTISTRY, etc then she will have a place but I highly doubt she will invest in her full potential.
