After being denied the top spot last week in a tight battle with Beyonce’s ‘Texas Hold ‘Em,’ the ‘Vultures 1’ anthem climbs one spot into pole position on the coveted count.
In doing so, it becomes Ye’s fifth Hot 100 #1 and Ty Dolla $ign’s second.
It serves as the first chart-topper for featured guests Playboi Carti and Rich the Kid.
What’s more, the touchdown sees West become also the first rapper ever to have topped the Hot 100 in three distinct decades (the 2000s, ‘10s and ‘20s).
The track pulled off the feat with the following US-based metrics in the latest tracking week:
- Streaming: 33.7 million streams
- Sales: 3,000 digital downloads
- Radio airplay: 3.9 million audience impressions
The duo’s win comes as the masses await the release of ‘Vultures 2’ (the second of a three-project arc). which missed its initial March 8 release.
